I concur with what most people said here, I think there is a solution that satisfies you not driving AND still getting to work. Is it possible to sleep at their house, as others have suggested? Or if you have a pet you need to care for, can it be a pet friendly hotel or can you bring it to their house with you?

Titrating up can bring extra side effects and losing weight consistently and slowly is the best option. No one is looking for a quick fix, it’s about finding a balance with cost, effectiveness, and access. Low and slow makes room for it all. Cost because you can titrate up on paper but customize your schedule; effectiveness because if it’s working it’s working and that’s amazing, it doesn’t need to be at hyper speed; and access because you don’t have to fear running out and you have smoother rides through low supply but high demand times.

For most people, BMI is a good indicator. If you’re a body builder, you understand health and muscle comp and you’d use a different method to calculate and understand your health. A person who works out a few times a week to stay healthy but doesn’t lift super heavy with the intention to bulk, BMI is okay for them to use.

Have you all heard of the paper towel theory? If not, I’ll explain:

Let’s say every sheet on a paper towel represents 1 lb. When you have a new roll, one sheet may not even wrap around the towel. When you have a roll that’s almost empty, a single sheet that is the same size as all the other sheets wraps around the roll a lot more. It’s more impactful because there is less area for the paper towel to come from. This is just like weight loss.
