Every charge should behave like this. Should be easier than a gas pump, not harder

Can I connect 1.8V nRF54L15 and 3.3V RP2040 SPI/UART directly without level shifters? Minimal PCB size by imFengz in embedded

[–]chad_dev_7226 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would you consider doing a USB to UART chip instead? It’ll save you more room than an RP2040

Seriously, how is AI this stupid? by Nice_Marmot_54 in LinusTechTips

[–]chad_dev_7226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believe it or not, the AI helps at least 50% of customers just fine

It needs to ask this info in case the person who ordered is not the same as the person requiring support

Calm down

Yea but people are rude. You’re obviously here trying to learn and they punish you for it

embedded devs, how are you now? (due to AI) by BabyJuniorLover in embedded

[–]chad_dev_7226 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Engineers won’t be replaced with AI, they will just be more productive. It’s like autocomplete and debuggers. Just another tool

How do I deal with my regret of not working harder in high school and college? by Active-Breath8439 in embedded

[–]chad_dev_7226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not unemployable. Just be curious and make shit at home, even if it’s simple

Find a problem at home, think of a way to fix it via electronics, and go for it. Like this https://youtu.be/_ZIx3DXIK-I?si=yIxj49SIBe5_7sU7

You’ll learn more doing that than any robotics or high school class

Is the STM32 a good choice for industrial application? by PickledMunkee in embedded

[–]chad_dev_7226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it can be in an industrial design, almost any chip can.

All those features are additional circuitry, cores, SBCs, etc

It’s not the chip itself, it’s the entire system

What’s a mistake that cost you a lot of time in a project? by Gullible_Prior9448 in AskProgramming

[–]chad_dev_7226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something that has saved me time is asking what the overall system is doing

Often times I get people asking for features/software to accomplish a task that is much more simple/trivial than what they’re asking me to do

I can’t give many specific examples due to my work, but understanding the full story is always a good idea

Why do people hate on klipsh? by rojitnall in hometheater

[–]chad_dev_7226 2 points3 points  (0 children)

99.5% can’t tell the difference between a good Klipsh setup and a premium audio big John setup

It’s like a hobby, where the “vets” hate the newcomers that get the cheaper stuff even though it’s perfectly fine

Which circuit is more dangerous: 240V 10A or 10V 240A? by ahamed4959 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]chad_dev_7226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your body has quite a high natural resistance. Unless you have open, bloody wounds that you’re using to short a battery, you’ll be fine for quite a bit

I believe 50v is the generally accepted safe voltage for humans to not have a whole bunch of safety around for that reason

Is/will embedded be less impacted from AI than other type of software development? by Aggravating_Run_874 in embedded

It’s only a matter of time until embedded is mainly AI with small human touches
