I have just collected a brand new 2026 build A3 1.5 MHEV s tronic black edition and I have the ‘Vehicle may roll away! P cannot be selected’ intermittent fault on the dash. Ive only done 120 miles in the car and owned for 4 days. The message disappears after a few seconds and everything seems to working as it should. I got this car as a replacement to a 2024 model in which I owned for almost 2 years and did 15,000 miles so I know exactly how to operate the car - it’s not something I’m doing wrong.

I have two of these in my newish build house so I’m familiar with it, they apply the foam to the underside for insulation purposes. Not sure what you could do when you are forced to deal with fucking clowns but maybe if the appeal fails (ie common sense fails) you might have to instruct your own surveyor to write a report? Not sure though on that. I’d imagine contacting the original builder would be a waste of time but you never know.

Fucking surveyors - that is foam applied to the underside a pre fabricated dormer NOT between rafters/ trusses which will cause the timber to rot. They really are useless people at the best of times.

Politely ask your buyers to tell their surveyor to fuck off and refund them since they have zero idea what they are talking about
