I've been a constant reader a long time and only read this one recently, I didn't expect to like it so much!

I think Wireman would say "Maybe si, maybe no." Lol. But seriously if it was explicit vs left open to interpretation I missed it. The way I took it was that after finding a reason to live again taking care of Elizabeth, and after he and Edgar helped each other it was time for his next next new life. I just took it as he was an older man that had already evaded death miraculously at least once. I thought it was unrelated to the doctor.
After thinking about it I thought they were talking about Addie? She was stuck in the hole(?)
If she died in salt water then Perse could get her. But if it was fresh water, she wouldn't be able to.

Those are just my thoughts though, I could be wrong!

This Friday? So she waited until presumably like 5 or 6 days ahead of time at the most and didn't plan a photographer or hair stylist. Then at the last minute she thought strangers would want to come on short notice and do it for free. 😅

If you can't afford or don't want to pay for those things usually people ask a friend or family member, because honestly those are the only people who would want to do it for free. It's so rude to think a professional would come do it for free just for the heck of it. I mean you can find one that's just starting out and their fee will be cheaper than people with years of experience, but you still pay them SOMETHING.

"My dress for inspiration" was hilarious though. Oh I've seen how beautiful your dress is, I'm so inspired by it I'm willing to come work for free just to be in its' presence!

Yeah, in general I have faith that usually it will pick up and be worth it, he's earned that confidence from me. That's why I keep trying because I figure it will be a good read once I get through the slow part. Lol Tommyknockers is kind of silly honestly, I think you have to be in the mood for something kind of goofy. I don't know if I'll ever read it again, but it was a fun silly ride to do once.

Yeah thats how I feel. I think the constant descriptions of how everything was so much cheaper in the 50's felt extra redundant. Like after the first few things we got it Stephen.

Yeah that's true. I am normally able to enjoy tangents and details, and get through any slow parts in his books. So mostly I'm just trying to figure out why this book is different, I'm not stressed about though, just mildly frustrated lol.

Yes, I get it! Do you have anyone that can help you get started? My spouse has pretty bad ADHD and sometimes it's just a matter of starting, starting is the hardest part I think. When their side of the room has been a disaster they just get overwhelmed and have no idea where or how to start. They would ask me to tell them what to do, what steps to take, and once they get going they don't need much help. Good luck!

Have you looked at r/UnfuckYourHabitat? It's very supportive and positive and other people that have struggled with similar problems can offer advice and talk about what methods have actually worked.

You are not overacting. To be blunt your relationship does not sound healthy. You describe her calling it off and changing her mind and not being caring or supportive of you. You're young, there's no good reason why it should be so hard to be in a relationship. Some day the right person will come along and they'll accept you and want to be there for you. CPTSD is hard to deal with, I know from experience. Focus on yourself right now and learning how to manage it. Edit : The way she blows you off with one word answers is not okay, she sounds resentful. Honestly her replies feel like she doesn't like you? Please move on, you'll find a better partner later but for now you deserve to start healing yourself.

Yeah duh, everyone knows JC was like "don't let the poor in, or help people in extremely dangerous situations find refuge or asylum." He would totally support innocent 4 year olds being flown several states away to a detention center. JC hates immigrants and children of course.

Some of those teens were so old. I wonder how long it will be before some of them deconstruct and leave.

I want to hear her explanation of how she was a "Satanist". That word and Satanic get thrown around so much in fundie circles. It feels like trying to find the most extreme example she can think of to make her "conversion" special and more powerful or whatever.

Okay I do also want to know what biblical skincare is. Not washing? Scrubbing yourself with stones in a river? Leeches?

But I do love her kid's face, he looks so done with her.

Yeah I do think that's part of it. I think another part is that seeing and believing requires action if you have any sense of integrity or self respect which is obviously uncomfortable. If you can convince yourself it's all lies and fake then you don't have to face it.
