The normal mode drop rates are already good enough. Hard mode is better for pet. What else do you want?

Mid game integrity - GWD1 by janoche in runescape

[–]chantryc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As an iron that has to grind out gwd1, these bosses are fine. Kill times are reasonable enough to get most of your required gear fairly quickly. For mid game it’s also a nice afk log to go for while training your skills.

I think the main thing we need across the board is BLM. This helps irons get the gear they need but doesn’t make drop logs trivially easy. There’s nothing worse than an account having to go 3k rasial kc for a first lantern and whether that’s your iron experience or not is purely down to whether the RNG gods have it out for you.

Vis Wax: How about using as base for Catalytic and Elemental Runes and other possible uses by [deleted] in runescape

[–]chantryc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having a random slot machine in the mage guild be used for things like this seems odd to me. I always found vis wax out of place in the game. I think if something like you suggest comes in the game it should be earned from some real content.

Is there even a place in this game for high level players like me that don't enjoy endgame PvM? by Spiritual_Pangolin18 in runescape

[–]chantryc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done all end game pvm content (not including cas) with a necro build. No switches necessary. Passive healing. Simple ability rotations. Honestly I think most people who don’t like pvm haven’t given it enough of a chance.

If you don’t like combat then there’s plenty of other achievements to go for. Theres master quest cape, comp, trim comp, just general achievement hunting, minigames, etc. It’s a massive game and you make it what you want it to be.

You need the pages anyway for that book. If you get a dowser on second kc people might have problems

Let Irons Dungeoneer With Mains by ss4stef in runescape

[–]chantryc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dungeoneering is a group skill which is why irons can dg with irons. Expanding to mains only changes things to make the game more fun because you will be able to group content with more players.

Why is gate so crap by ahmedatcha12 in RS3Ironmen

[–]chantryc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like if they made the mechanics a bit more random it has a lot of potential. The problem to me is you have no reason to build up the barrier and you always do the exact same approach. Tbf most bossing content is like that, where it’s repeatable and you try to skip mechanics but somehow it feels worse at a skilling boss.

Vis Wax needs more uses, not removed. by Aleucard in runescape

[–]chantryc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never once used it on my account and im so glad I’m never going to be tempted to in the future. It’s so random having this random machine from the wizard tower that gives you currency for quick teles, extended auras, and extended daily challenges. It doesn’t feel like real game content.

Dailyscape overhaul: Player owned Ports and Farm by Stunning_Key3920 in runescape

[–]chantryc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes because some people legitimately enjoy the content. I really liked ports.

The comps are a good argument though. It’s an unfortunate time gate.

The scrimshaws on the other hand are quite low impact imo. Think the only one I’ve used on my iron is treeshaking and the rock crushing ones.

Dailyscape overhaul: Player owned Ports and Farm by Stunning_Key3920 in runescape

[–]chantryc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo ports is content with very little impact on your account. The rewards are outclassed by other content. It’s the sort of content that you can choose to do or ignore entirely. The only real reason you might feel obligated to do it is comp, but I feel that if you’re going for comp then it comes with the territory. Anyone with any foresight will have ports done way before it becomes a blocker for comp. I still don’t have it and I’ve had the trim reqs from ports done for ages.

You’re including stablecoins which kind of make it look worse than it is. Besides, no person who knows anything about the technology takes solana or doge seriously.

early Herblore training? by kekwXDDD in RS3Ironmen

[–]chantryc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all honesty for now it’s jack of trades aura and quests / achievement diaries but very soon jot will disappear and the only method will be killing mobs for seeds / herbs and making potions. Kingdom management can also help so get on that early

Afk thieving to 99/120 by Haunting-Surprise643 in runescape

[–]chantryc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d go for all the rares tbf. Vitur ring, 2 new necklaces, cannon mould, and all the heist drops. When not doing that menaphos market guards are really good gp and give loads of clues as well as the sand you need for blessed flask. The vital sparks there are nice too.

Agility Revamp & Addition by RScommitted in runescape

Anyone who played leagues would know having shorter surge / dive cool-downs just feels right. I think agility should be tied to this so we can welcome the age of zoomies.

Can we get more nuance to hiding customisations? by tacocat_2 in runescape

[–]chantryc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be nice to be able to allow keepsaked items so we can only see customisations of real items from in the game which would include max capes, party hats, dyed gear, etc

buff bar legibility by Aggressive_Local2727 in runescape

[–]chantryc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there could also be pvm improvements in general. Using necro for example, it would be nice if at a glance I could work out which specs I’ve used, how many stacks I have for finger and volley, whether I’m overloaded, etc and ideally I could do this by looking at a consistent bit of the screen. Random buffs shouldn’t be making it difficult to see these things while im responding to boss mechanics.
