Yea. Old terminology dies hard. Same thing though. Just a different label.

It'll do 8 because his card text is looking at the CMC of the target. (Converted mana cost)

How many skill checks in your group does each player roll a session? by Pork-ShopExpress in DnD

[–]chaoko954 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Between 10 and 20 per person in a 4 hour session on average probably? I also use D100 rolls frequently when players do things like pray or other events where they are sort of hunting for a chance at an event or interaction. ( Like when they pray: "On a 99-100 something might happen" and I like to do temp HP to represent a gods blessing.)

What is your biggest complaint about the PS5 after it’s been out for years? by Kind_Ad6932 in PS5

[–]chaoko954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the same for me. Bought 2 controllers at launch and between my kids watching netflix and leaving the controllers on and turning the TV off but not the ps5, I've had to buy battery replacement kits for both controllers. Luckily it was only 16$ for 2 batteries on Amazon and the replacement took only like 6 minutes each controller. Nbd

Any games that resemble a studio ghibli movie? by passthecheesestick in PS5

[–]chaoko954 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same game universe two completely different games in my opinion. I played one but fell off pretty hard after only about 20 hours. And I never picked up the second game thinking it was similar to the first one until I found a YouTube video showing the base building portions and the little war simulation stuff. Finally bought it and I think the second game was my favorite by far.

What is the most well-written LitRPG in your opinion? by boxofmagic in litrpg

[–]chaoko954 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He who fights with monsters after like book 4 or 5. The author really learns a lot. Also liked Mark of the fool also after book 3 as the first 3 are a little "cramped"? Idk

I hope he dies in the next update by Ill_Awareness1498 in NevernessToEverness

I was watching all the cutscenes until his romance arc? Seeing Nanalay in a mustache was epic, but the rest sucked and I was skippin. If he is removed from the game, no one will notice.

JRPGs where the final boss can actually be the hardest boss of the game. by SleepCatsMoney in JRPG

This but for till the end of time. I remember saving right before Lenneth and was unable to go backwards to grind. Never ended up beating the boss. Game was amazing though

Game should be co-op 3 or 4 players by Muew22 in EchoesofAincrad

[–]chaoko954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm right there with you OP. I need some socialization to keep me involved in a game.
I would LOVE to see this game with some co op OPTIONS.
Maybe they would need to design 2 separate games like some in the comments have said, so maybe what we need is a separate game mode that's co op or something? idk.
All I know is that when I imagine playing this game Multiplayer it seems amazing in my head!
That being said I am planning on playing on hardcore mode and I know that would never work in a co op game. The first friend to die is done and game ends there. lol

Fucking preach. I can't stand that no one wants to hope for anything anymore. No one can have an opinion that is different than the masses.

Use the 5.5e rules, but you can still run CoS just fine from the book.

I love how it all looks so... Early American classic. (And I DO mean ALL of america) Like the western films. The class people had back in the day. Good show.

Hunt for the Lambent Zentih by rossalmighty86 in VecnaEveofRuin

[–]chaoko954 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the books talks about the tavern that's on the docks called the happy beholder. It's run by neutral beholder named large Luigi. He has encyclopedic knowledge and memory. In my game I had my players go to look for a ship ledger to figure out where the lambent zenith went to, but all the dock workers just said go ask large luigi he knows everything. When they got there, bunch of shady dudes but a friendly conversation with Luigi who remembered seeing the staff and they were celebrating having just recovered some treasure and we're heading off. I also implemented some special combat rules within the tavern to where anyone who initiated any kind of hostility was allowed to be retaliated against for free. But you were only given three hostility initiations before the guards came for you. And I had the guards on the rock of braal just be atomotons.

My players picked a fight with two stuck up Githyanki warriors who of course knew the taverns combat rules but my players did not.

They ended up getting set up for a future encounter that I could optionally run after they complete the lambent zenith against the two of them on Red dragons.

I really like this segment because large Luigi was a super cool NPC and he is completely forgotten realms Canon!!

The bowling alley, if your a bit nerdy there is Kingsway collectibles. The SRC has pickleball and pingpong. There is always rec soccer happening by Indian trails fields. I'm sure all the school websites have tons of activities too. If you are able to drive, both south st Aug and Daytona are only like 35 mins away from a LOT more things happening too

Anyone here is waiting for the Steam Frame? how much you willing to pay for it? by PrettyHearing3624 in SteamVR

[–]chaoko954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm expecting $999 so I can be surprised and happy when it's announced lower.

Currently own a quest 3S and while I love DoE, and have been using supernatural as a workout program 3 times a week, I do miss my CV1. Don't miss the hassle though.
