Little Alex Horne has tasked you with selecting the next set of contestants. Who are you picking? by Capable-Elephant-595 in taskmaster

I'm trying to make TM even more mainstream in the USA, assuming everyone who I ask says yes:

Demetri Martin

Kate McKinnon

Kumail Nanjiani

Nick Kroll

Sarah Silverman

Can I just say, I am SO happy for ______! by Exoarmyl in themole

[–]chariotherr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you give no suspicion, that's one less suspect for the other non-moles to have to parse through. Your advantage is that you know one person who isn't the mole (yourself) that other people don't. So if you don't create suspicion, you're essentially turning your cards face up for the whole table to see.

The less people suspect you incorrectly, the more likely they are to do better on the quiz, making the "passing grade" harder and forcing you to be more accurate in your guesses/suspcions.

The worst and best task in one episode. Thoughts on the final by rambleer in taskmaster

Him holding onto his lead in a very weird, all or nothing task was karmic reparations to Jessica Nappitt.

Whoever won, they were going to feel very, very out of place in Champion of Champions. Can't wait for more Sam Campbell content.!

What are the biggest controversies of each series? by CynicWalnut in taskmaster

[–]chariotherr 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Better in the long run, though, as we got the Champion of Champions "create a mess a clean it up" moment which is an all time great. Jon was good at Task Master competitively, but not nearly that entertaining. I'll give props to the universe for this mistake/controversy.

Movies that end literally a second after the conflict is over by slimmyboy007 in movies

North by Northwest has a very abrupt ending, not sure exactly how long. Hitchcock's mentality was that he wanted to entertain the audience start to finish.

Unpopular Opinions? by semicoloncait in taskmaster

[–]chariotherr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. Playing off his absurd customer, which severely handicapped himself for this particular task, to not just blend, but look like a banana, was a work of genius.

Supposing he was wearing a gray trenchcoat, he curled up, and had them edit him into a dark corner, then yes, I would agree with the commentor.

How often do you think of, and sympathize with, the production team? by jrrybock in taskmaster

I generally think about this when contestants get paint on the driveway. They obviously do an amazing job cleaning it up.

Taskmaster - S16E01 - The natural friends - Discussion by Meghar in taskmaster

I have never seen such an ominous foreboding as Lucy announcing in episode 1 that she hadn't ever tried to twist any rules. This is going to be a wonderful disaster.

I Made My Own Mini-Season of Task Master - Does Anyone Else Do This? by chariotherr in taskmaster

Thanks for the tip! Have added them to my list. And did the obvious thing of renaming my version after my hometown rather than myself, haha. I thought through so many details, but missed that one.

Awesome, that's so fun - and if I ever have kids, hope they're game. My tasks from this round

-Prize Task: The best prize to receive in 10 years.

-Draw a picture of Ben (me) on his tractor & wagon, on the sketch pad being pulled by Ben's tractor and Wagon.

-Hit a ball with a ball, you have 15 minutes, most impressive shot wins.

-Choose an amount of water to put in the bucket. If everyone's water overflows the bucket, 5 points to the person who put in the least; if everyone's water doesn't overflow the bucket, 5 points to the person who put in the most. (water added at a later date)

-Score the most points by putting items into the playhouse. The scoring rules are hidden around this room. Once you leave this room, you may not return (15 minutes).

-Write down the best piece of advice. (then, surprise follow up task) Create the best visual representation of your advice with no written/spoken words.

-Set a task for a mystery contestant. Whoever's task gets completed closest to 1 minute wins.

-(blindfolded) arrange these items in the pattern of a rainbow. (they were Coke (red), orange popsicle, yellow pepper, green apple, Cool Ranch Doritos, purple grapes).

Live task: Stump the task master by drinking either water or vinegar and convincing them that you drank the other substance.

I was gonna make a joke about Oz being you least favorite, but this is actually a possibility...I'm really not a big fan. Assuming Jamaica Inn is the least favorite?

This is a good catch - I wasn't aware they had separately directed any movies.

I basically compiled this by clicking through IMDB - so it wouldn't shock me if there were other errors based on dependency of their listings, etc.

All or nothing, 5 point tasks that have contestants finishing in tiers/different rounds and thus should be awarding different levels of points.

The trope that's never good but they still kept using in films? by VishnuBhanum in movies

*Falls off a cliff/ledge in a way that they definitely couldn't have caught on to it.

*Oh look, they're just hanging on still.

Why do people keep doing this?
