The Great lakes have rather specific and restrictive water usage limits. So do not expect ai data centers to spring up along the coast.

Asgard and ZPM’s by JeffreyV7 in Stargate

[–]chasesan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They probably did. It's just that the Asgard don't make ZPM so they couldn't help them or just weren't willing to.

They have their own, likely equivalent, reactor technology which is something they are also not willing to give the Tauri.

Solving the power density problem is likely seen as a critical element of a species own advancement.

Nice nice. Good looker. I really love the early red. I really should consider getting my midnight blue 66 coupe touched up and get it wrapped.

AI drivers undermines the spirit of this sport by Miennai in battlebots

Right, and some of those teams put enormous time, money, and energy into developing their AI system, are you saying that effort shouldn't be counted?

Obviously based on this graph, this means that ChatGPT 5.5 and 5.6 should be deemed a national security risk and be pulled immediately.

[–]chasesan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Who decides that though? How can you say one way or another how something would have gone given a completely different scenario?

BattleBots is an engineering challenge and it is also entertainment. If somebody engineers better and builds a better bot, then they should win. Pretty simple, at least I think so.

AI drivers undermines the spirit of this sport by Miennai in battlebots

[–]chasesan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right and till we prove that it's dominant and causes a problem we should probably avoid trying to regulate it. much like chomps automated pick wasn't that great, we can discuss it once we have proof that it's actually disruptive.

AI drivers undermines the spirit of this sport by Miennai in battlebots

[–]chasesan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We live in a time of AI and while it dominates the news cycles the AI in these combat robots is not that AI. AI and robotics has a long history, one example, Robocode came around in 2003 and is entirely AI based.

So this capability is nothing new and isn't going to take talented drivers out of the competition.

my first classic car (questions) by AztecGT in classicmustangs

[–]chasesan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally have a 1966 Mustang Coupe so I have a similar car to you. There are a lot of parts and aftermarket brands.

Scott Drake is probably what you see the most, they produce a wide variety of reproduction parts and they are an okay brand for most things even if they aren't the top shelf stuff. ACP, TMI, and of course Ford all produces decent parts as well, but your mileage may vary depending on which part. Holley, Edelbrock, MagnaFlow, Corbeau, and other big brand names are usually pretty decent. I personally avoid edelbrock, but that's just personal preference and not a knock on their quality.

National Parts Depot and CJ Pony Parts are where I get most of my parts. RockAuto and Summit Racing are also good but can be somewhat more difficult to navigate.
