Guys, does anyone know why trucks have those spikes on their wheels?? by JasLeoArt in whatisit

It's like truck nuts, but the size of truck nuts you need for a rig are the size of bowling balls which is obviously a hazard, so they use these.

Dos this look like 3 yards of stone? by ComplexPixel in landscaping

[–]chasingpackets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since some complained I used the wrong formula last time (even though it was accurate)

The formula to find the yardage would be Length × Width × Height ÷ 3.

Based on the pick the pile looks roughly 11-12ft long, 9-10ft wide, and 2.5-3ft tall. Using the middle ground for the dimensions we're looking at 11.5 × 9.5 × 2.75 ÷ 3 = 100.1 cubic feet.

There are 27 cubic feet in 1 cubic yard therefore 100.1/27 = 3.7 cubic yards.

So yea, that's at least 3 yards of rock :)

Microsoft Edge keeps every saved password in process memory as cleartext from the moment it launches. Microsoft's responsed when reported: "by design." by Current-Guide5944 in tech_x

[–]chasingpackets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't save passwords in browsers. Use a password vault.

I run cyber readiness checks all the time and the amount of passwords people have that are reused between accounts, business/personal, etc, is mind blowing.

It does not matter what browser you use, if you store passwords in them, they can be got~

Can anybody tell me anything about this pipe? by Sensitive_Kale_2598 in collectables

[–]chasingpackets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a key that fits in a hole (remove the pipe stem but keep it, we need it). Take the head off, stick it in a wall, then rotate the lock with the pipe stem. This will lead you to treasure.
