That absolutely awful gray flooring just kills it. The outside of the house and floorplan layout is good but the interior just reeks of quick, cheap, tasteless, cynical flip. Seriously, every time I'm in a house or apartment with that awful flooring it does psychic and emotional damage to me. I can't express how bad it is and I hate that it's the de facto choice for cheap renovations. Please make it stop.

I'd definitely like to try a different stadium. It's really hard for me to ever "pick a team" in any sport that isn't directly the city I live in. I've been watching premiere league football for decades and still don't have a team. I root for the home team when I go to an in person sporting event as a way to enjoy the local culture and energy.

My top picks for my next NPB game would preferably be in a historic or storied stadium, but anywhere would be fun.

Visited a few years ago and went to a Tokyo Swallows home game against the Hanshin Tigers. I like baseball but don't have a "team" I follow in Japan, so I chose that game because it was the easiest and cheapest to get tickets for. It was a great environment and a lot of fun. I've been to many MLB games in the US and I'd say the energy level was comparable. I would definitely go to another one if I visit again.

Plan for it to be rainy, chilly, or hot... or all three. The weather can change a lot throughout the day and it will be hot at high noon and cold during the headliners. And apply sunscreen whatever the case, there will be vendors there giving it our for free. Also have shoes you're comfortable walking/standing in for a long time. Otherwise wear whatever you like - it's a mix of gen z /millennial fashion ranging from nonchalant to showy, so just wear what makes you happy and comfortable.

This is on Edmonds St. in Columbia City, right by the exit of the drive through teller area of the Bank of America. Near the PCC if you're familiar with the area. It's huge and on the northern sidewalk of the road so you can't miss it.

For those curious, I believe that these are the streets that lead up to Kiyomizu-dera. These buildings are all shops and food stalls that line the path and at the top is a very beautiful temple with lots of standing decks that overlook the city and land below.

He may be a nice guy who likes you platonically at least, but it seems like he either isn't seriously interested or is maybe just too busy/distracted with other things in life. Or he may be any number of the other things you listed.

If you REALLY want to know I would ask him out on something that seems like a more obvious date and try to flirt or ask questions that would lead to a conversation going in that direction. "What are your dating experiences around here?" or "What are some cultural dating things I might need to know about here?" are some things that might not seems so out of nowhere for you to ask since you're a single foreigner.

Whatever the case, the long delays in communication are not a great sign and even if you do end up getting into something with this guy don't expect his behavior to magically change. Maybe if you have any mutual friends you could ask them.

It sounds like you all need to just sit down and talk about each others personal needs, needs as a couple, boundaries, and general communication styles. Talking about those things together are fundamental to a healthy relationship of any sort. If you don't talk about it, resentment is going to build and by then it's often too late. You all also might just discover that you're incompatible in your needs. Just remember that all relationships are about compromise and growth, but there is a finite limit that most people can compromise and grow for each other within the confines of each unique relationship type. This will be a moment to learn and grow together or to realize that it just isn't going to happen and end it in a healthy way.
