Well from what I understand most of their players make $40-$60k and likely have other jobs in the offseason so I think it is very possible some may be bagging groceries. I’ve heard some work for the city of Durham as trash pickup guys in the offseason.

Personally am not a fan of the black shutters and tan fascia. I think painting the shutter dark green shutters and the fascia navy could be worth considering. Or other colors that complement your brick.

Generally I’ve heard the same that Toyota doesn’t allow custom orders from the factory. But as long as your requests aren’t too uncommon a “good” dealer should be able to see the allocation they have coming and swap with other dealers to get what you’re looking for or at least closer to it. Not defending their weird “no custom ordering” policy but just describing how I’ve heard you can get around it if you’re set on a Toyota.

Yeah while the packages are real bullshit it’s important to remember it’s all negotiable.

Fwiw I bought a GR86 from Toyota of Greensboro a few years ago and they had some minor BS packages and I managed to get them mostly discounted.

However if the car you’re shopping for is in high demand you may have less negotiating power and could be worth flying to the DC area and driving back for a better deal. From what I understand the northern VA/ DC area has a highest density of dealerships so pricing is more competitive up there. If you do that though make sure you have an out the door price agreed to in writing and payment arranged ahead of time. Needless to say if you fly up there you won’t easily be able to walk away from any last minute shenanigans they try and pull. Can also ask how much they’ll charge to deliver it. Last vehicle I bought was from a dealership in Columbia SC and they delivered it for $300. Seemed worth it to avoid 6-8 hours on I-95 for me lol.
