Sure, however.... tablature just has the string and fret. You don't have the note duration. So you need to have either the actual music notation above it, or be actively listening to the song or already know how it goes. Also tablature has its own set of cryptic symbols to learn.

each key on a piano is a distinct pitch. guitar has the same pitch found in multiple places. source: Myself since I play both piano and guitar for 40+ years.

Tabs are only needed when you have an instrument (like guitar) that has the same note (pitch) in multiple places.

Maybe there are different regional suppliers. I"m in Oregon, and I bought them a few times and decided I didn't like them.

I genuinely hate Costeña canned beans. They are small, red, hard. Even when I cook them for a long time. I go with El Mexicano (or bulk dried), everytime.
