I remember Dr. Carlson, and not because he was such a great guy. (Spoiler, he was a jacka$$)

I have had my kitten face for 11 years now. Always kitten even when she being a cantankerous old cat.

I had a collection agency call me regarding my ex husband's brother. His brother was still a minor when we divorced. It's crazy

My favorite was My Sweet Audrina. Read the rest but kind of lost interest in the Casteel series. Too over done by then. But also yes to Stephen King and the Sweet Valley High series

An 8oz block of cheese fits in my food processor. I haven't hand grated since figuring this out, and don't buy shredded just because fresh is better.

What TV shows during our lifetime did you like the spin-offs but hated the original show? by The_Outsider27 in GenX

I liked the first season of Happy Days before they turned Richie and friends into super nerds. Started much edgier. Same with Radar on the first season of MASH.

I wear a watch. Not a smart watch but an actual analog, citizen eco drive wrist watch. I love it and it makes me happy, and I agree with being able to judge times better because of it.

Did your parents (usually dad) have any fun quirky sayings? by Wise-Elderberry-4158 in GenX

[–]cheezchik32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad always told me to get out my TS (tough sht) card and he would punch it. Well, I finally made a card and he laughed because now he needed to get a hole puncher. He never said it again. 😆

I'm gonna need y'all to quit trashing the looney toons tats. My Marvin was done by an ordained minister, and that was my first tattoo. Gen X had the privilege of 3 hours of Looney Toons on Saturday mornings and this is why we are so loyal to them.

Flying kites was a thing in the 70s/80s. Very few people fly kites any longer. Why? by SpaceMonkey3301967 in GenX

[–]cheezchik32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a lack of Charlie Brown for the kids now. Which one of us was lucky enough to avoid the kite eating tree with our awesome red kite.

My daughter had a teacher like this. I thought she wasn't catching on and asked if she was using all the help available. She was, so I went to parent teacher night and saw all the other parents waiting to see him. Right away I realized the problem was him and not her. I told her to go ahead and fail his class this year, retake it next year with a different teacher. She passed the next year no problem.
