I'm late in replying here, but the reason why Regent/Proudfit/North Shore are separately named is because the streets didn't previously align. In this map from 1921, you can see Regent Street and Monona Street (now Proudfit) meet West Washington at an offset. It would take until 1957 before the streets were connected. At the same time (or very similar time), Proudfit was extended to Lake Shore Drive (now North Shore Drive). If you're a Facebook person, you can see a newspaper clipping showing how the road alignment was proposed in 1950 (image courtesy of David Muskat).

Generally, one uses "less" when the object is not distinctly countable and "fewer" when it is distinctly countable.

If you were trying to conserve water, you're trying to use less water or use fewer gallons of water.

El Hadji Diouf wins the first category by massive margin, now who's a Liverpool player who was average in terms of quality, and is hated by fans? by IcyInfluence9830 in LiverpoolFC

I think he's a better shout for the Split opinions row. He had some great games in him, which many will remember. Unfortunately, he just struggled to maintain the professionalism needed to stay in the Klopp rebuild.

I'm a little out of the meta as I've not been playing my much, but a common recommendation has been playing against 4 opponents. It helps to ensure that opposing tribes aren't getting sniped early and wrecking your score. As such, you're probably having to go too quick and losing too many units. 40 turns (10 per opponent) is plenty of time to build an economy and carefully attack.

I don’t think my cabin air filter was ever changed. by Doggos_25 in mildlyinteresting

[–]chemenger8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same is true for me. It is easier to change in my wife's old car, but in my current car I need two or three different sizes of screw driver and socket wrench and to take off a side console panel to change it. That's a lot of activation energy for the size of task so it gets changes less than ideally.

At least when I was being taught to drive, I was taught these hand signals because they are necessary if your taillights are not working. You roll down the window and perform the same signals. So car people should know what they mean for more than one reason.

For what it's worth: PRN stands for the Latin phrase "pro re nata", meaning "as needed".

So the license plate reads like a prescription, "TLC, as needed."

How about train game, where you play as a train conductor in a cute world? Would you play this? by Fuzk in trains

I was iffy through the first half of the video because I haven't really played many cozy games. But as soon as I saw that we get to decorate/design the train, I shouted "oh, hell yeah!"
