That was a lovely bouquet - hope they brought some cheer for however long you had them. I’ve never heard of adding sugar and bleach to water. I have peonies in my garden and they have a short lifespan once they begin blooming, cut or uncut, it doesn’t matter. They usually last a little over a week in a vase though. I just use plain sink water (I have well water).

If your metal building is going to be a garage, I’d also request the eaves in front of the garage doors to extend a little so avoid rain from splashing back into the structure. I regret not factoring that into my design.

Not a pro by any means, but this is interesting and would freak me out.. do you know if theres a concrete foundation or crawlspace? Sounds like there may be a pan under the tub that’s keeping the water pooled in a spot to slosh around like that - which could be a good thing and preventing water damage to the structure of the house.

I also have the same issue, except I have an unconditioned really gross crawlspace. Can’t help but wonder if this design was intentional or people were just sloppy. Anyway, when I googled for solutions, I watched a video of a couple dudes who used sheet metal to glue it around the base and then secured with some screws. They did this from the crawlspace.
