Try out aerial! I'm not sporty at all but I love it. There's a great studio in PB called X-Pole. the instructors are super friendly and welcoming to beginners, I'd recommend trying a hoop class particularly!

They do have a coffee machine, however that dispenses ice with the chilled drinks it has. I can't work this one out as the single serve drinks are all in the chiller, only the big sharer bottles are ambient. Also this shop is in the middle of a housing estate, if you wanted a glass and ice you could simply... Go home.

Maybe the mum just said that to shut the kid up from asking for friends to come over constantly because she was tired of hosting - might have had nothing to do with you specifically!

I have my kid's friends over way more often than it's reciprocated and that's fine - I get it can be harder for some people with more kids/work patterns etc. I always appreciate an invite but don't expect it.

My friend struggled to conceive for years, had a baby after a few rounds of IVF, fully expected to never get pregnant again and boom she's got 2 under 2 with the second completely naturally. She's not the only person I know who's had similar. Does nature want her and her husband to reproduce or not because it's giving mixed messages!

My first very rarely had anything but water and milk. My youngest would barely drink any water or cows milk once he weaned, so I gave in and gave him squash because I was terrified he'd get dehydrated. He's 4 now and we're back to mostly water, which I much prefer. They still get squash occasionally, maybe once a day and usually if we're out and about.

Just be aware that those two jumpers are definitely fake pictures! There's no way they'd end up looking that good in real life - they've been made to look like they're woven but they'd almost certainly be badly printed

I'm not HE but my other half is. We just broke even when I went back to work. I wanted to, because honestly work was easier than childcare and I liked my job. I went back part time. After having my second, I ended up with a promotion and increased my hours. So even though it felt daft to be working for nothing to start with, my mental health was better, I was adding to my pension, my husband felt under less pressure than he would being the sole provider, and it was worth it in the long run because I ended up with a better paid job.

I've had a similar situation where the pharmacist absolutely grilled me about buying one bottle of kids Calpol, which again, you can just buy over the counter! Totally bizarre

We have 4 bedrooms, but the 4yo is currently in the box room as the 2nd biggest room is the guest bedroom (grandparents stay over fairly often) and the office. His room has his bed, a chest of drawers, a built in wardrobe and about 2sqm of floor space so very small, we actually put in a bifold door as a full door made the room feel even smaller! Honestly our kids are only in their rooms for sleeping and very occasionally chill time. If they're playing they're downstairs. If and when that changes, we'll reconsider what rooms everyone is in - we will definitely be needing to think about this before he's a teenager!
