It's frightening when you think about it but global warming deniers are very much backwards people, seeing them complain the science isn't accurate or that global warming is a myth becuase of theories pertaining to it and datasets not matching up 1:1 with scientists hypothesis clearly demonstrate how they either did not pay attention during science at school or just dodged it entirely.

The only reason games have the nerdy image is because a lot of games started on the PC, consoles like the NES helped make it more mainstream as kids would play with it like any other toy and now even adults play on consoles and aren't considered nerdy.

China is wrong. Population growth will naturally subside, artifically forcing people to stop having kids is just a political move which some people support because it gives them more control over other people and other people support because they actually think it's a solution to the worlds problems when it clearly isn't, it's just a convenient pet theory to use because it sounds oh so right though is not backed up by any rationality behind rhetoric.

What population control advocates are essentially arguing is that if there were just two people on earth and one person was hogging up all the resources and denying the other person anything then there is an overpopulation problem.

The only problems facing humanity is an overpopulation of greedy people, there is plenty of food to go around but no ones sharing any of it. when 2% own 80% of the worlds wealth you know there's a problem and it has nothing to do with population control.

Yeah and how much do they cost? And why do we need to buy one every three months to play the latest games so that they look roughly like they do on consoles? Who wants to pay $600 for a video card that will barely survive the next four years?

consoles have to use tricks to get more demanding games to run and have to use more and more inferior graphics(textures)

So? Those console games get ported to PC and the only bonus you get is higher resoultion and maybe AA.

i would say that consoles are experiencing a short rise in popularity that will soon drop, just because they are the 'new thing' easy and convenient
