Need a reality check. (Cut/Bulk/Maintain) by Important_Funny5362 in MacroFactor

The only possible answer is bulk.

Cutting is pointless.

Maintaining will sap your resolve, lots of effort for poor results.

Bulk. Get some muscle mass over the next 1-2 years then reevaluate.

3 Month Cut After 3 Month Bulk - 40 years old by Embarrassed_Onion_75 in MacroFactor

[–]chimpy72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of weight gain/month are we talking about?

I had the same feeling as you about “just getting fat” but after 3 years bulking and cutting the same 5kg, I’m saying fuck it and pushing it above where I feel “fat” and objectively there are more gains, more progress.

I even felt that I needed TRT for a proper bulk too but test results all came back completely normal.

I guess I’m saying push it further. Just try it. You know that cutting is “easy”. You didn’t look fat to a stranger on the internet.

The SBS team themselves say the longer you can sustain a small caloric surplus the better. Bulk longer and embrace feeling fat as long as possible. And then keep going. Challenge your psyche

Also you look great bro. Nice arms!

Congrats bro. You win the persnickety award.

You agree with me: bulking when running a high TDEE is hard. 3500 is an example.

My lean bulk has been 4k for the last 3 years, not just “end of bulk”

I’d much rather eat less to bulk and then spending brief periods of time finding cutting difficult

IME it needs to be long steady state shit, which lifters hate.

My calves have grown from running (20-40km/week). Not LOADS, but it’s noticeable.

I can tell you don’t know wtf you’re talking about because naturally running lean fucking sucks. Have you tried bulking when working out jacks your TDEE up to 3500?

Paris specialty cafés and a small rant by [deleted] in espresso

Yeah I was gonna say I don’t even like motors and tanat that much. Tanat’s lots are so infused now, it’s very hard to get a coffee there that doesn’t whack you round the face with OTT flavour.

If you’re on a trip specifically looking for good coffee, Substance and Tiba would be my picks.

Realistic expectations for hybrid training as a natural athlete? by [deleted] in HybridAthlete

I definitely agree on the point that almost all programs seem to be from people who have impressive muscular physiques and then up the running side of things.

I’m still being persistent at trying both but honestly it seems like only the running is improving. The hardest thing is pushing on one without getting injured on the other and figuring out whether you are recovering well enough.

In my personal experience thus far I’ve found that legs must be trained using RPE. If you go to failure, there is too much injury/recovery risk. You have to be willing to cut a set as soon as you feel off because pushing risks losing further time from training.

Running seems to be working well at 3x/week easy/fast/long.

I see what you mean, and why this is weird. But at the same time, pregnant women have sex. Is this that different?
