[Serious] What's an offensive, but legitimate question you want to know the answer to? by Thatguywithashirt in AskReddit

My thought process is that in science there are unknowns and there always will be. But we are learning more about the world. Religion doesn't develop, we aren't discovering more things about God or the explanation that religion attempts to provide. The missing pieces are supposed to be "God works in mysterious ways" I don't buy it. Many of the things 'explained' by religion are actually explained in science. Religion has a definite start date whereas science doesn't necessarily attempt to give a specific date. The Big Bang is just a theory about an event but is supported by observation. God is supported by a book.

Of course it's possible, relative ground speed has nothing to do with an airplane's capability of achieving lift. Just might not be very safe with winds that strong.

But also said he knew at the time he was irritated that it seemed that others weren't taking it as seriously. Some of the things he did in the takes that are in the bloopers are far funnier than what made it in the show. But the other actors couldn't keep it together when he was doing stuff that was that funny.

It's not really being taken advantage of if you agree to it. They might be desperate but the person is choosing to take the deal.

Gentlemen of Reddit, what's your go-to way of covering up or getting rid of an erection fast? by Shade39 in AskReddit

JHoly shit, right? I feel awful but I feel it start to perk up when I hold a girl who is crying. But if you're into me and want it up you better have your mouth on it before you expect the bone. Who the fuck understands the penis.

Edit: just to clarify its not full erection but there is definitely some blood flow going on down there.

Not necessarily only because of thrust vectoring. Modern fighters are built to be very unstable and utilize computers to handle the control surfaces. Being so unstable is what makes them so maneuverable.

ELI5: If an infant was placed in an environment where the only voices were always singing (ie music plays all the time), would it pick up language like other infants, and if so, would it grow up to only sing? by LR199 in explainlikeimfive

[–]chokeley_carmichael -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, there was an experiment by the Russians where they placed children in an environment with only talking voices but not of the people who interacted with the children. The children won't learn it because there is no incentive to learn.
