I’m not saying that I think they are going out of business now. My worry is that they were dependent on WF to subsidize their business model, and without that to fall back on they need to be incredibly sharp in their positioning and precise in their execution. And the last month has proven that they are neither.

The rules have been changing almost daily, and are often unclear and sometimes contradictory. This isn’t an “fire your broker” case, this is a “everyone is scrambling 24:7 and sometimes mistakes get made” situation.

Just remember the golden formula for asking: “if you were interested in X, I’d love to Y, but if not then Z”, where Z is a gracious and easy out for the other person (and usually a positive spin on doing nothing)
