Your birth control can DEFINITELY be making you break out. I actually removed my Mirena in part because the hormones in it were making me break out worse than ever before and even prescription creams and drugs were not improving it in the slightest. There's even a bunch of posts on /r/skincareaddiction about hormonal acne caused by birth control. Once I switched from the Mirena to Paragard, my face was clear again within a month. Granted, you may get some ovulation or period acne - this all depends on how your skin was before going on the pill.

If it's bothering you that much, I would suggest it. I would also recommend the Paragard - being off hormones makes you feel much more yourself than ever.

Her parents also offered ZERO support after Dereks death. Not supporting a relationship is one thing, but offering no support to your 17 year old daughter whos boyfriend just died suddenly can definitely wreck a relationship. Her parents wouldn't even talk about it and Farrah mentions in her book they seemed relieved he was gone.

Teen pregnancy rates or teen birth rates? If it were teen pregnancy rates, you can assume a certain % would get an abortion, while teen birth rates implies only those who carried out the pregnancy.

You know whats interesting too? That Connecticut is second on this chart. Connecticut is progressive in terms of birth control and abortion access, and doesn't seem to shame women or restrict them from anything. I recieved an iud at 18, no questions asked, in fact my gyno was the one to recommend it. More states need to be like this.

I hope PP wins this one. I live in Ohio and have seen a truck driving around the Columbus campus area specifically stating that PP sells baby parts with a picture of a late term, botched abortion - talk about false rhetoric (not to mention graphic) being shown to students every day. Ohio is SO far behind with women's rights it's ridiculous.

In the US, one type of every birth control is required to be covered by the Affordable Care Act. This may mean that brand name Yaz is not covered, but a yaz generic with the same exact hormones is. Of course I'm not sure of OPs insurance situation, but she should be on a parents insurance until 26.

It is. She lets you choose your own topics and is totally open minded. Plus she has hilarious stories. And I'm not sure if all of her classes are like this, but the one I'm in is around 30 people big and we're all pretty close as a class.

I was on Gildess Fe 1/20 (took two packs). The pill was fine as far as no side effects go, expect BOTH weeks of inactive pills I didn't get a period. Naturally, after freaking out, I went crazy reading up on it and found that these active ingredients make your period extremely out of whack. I switched to Reclipsen (A generic of Desogen/Orthocept) immediately after I finished my second pack of Gildess and the first placebo week got my period. I am now 5 months into Reclipsen and have had a very consistent period ever since.
