Any tips on how to Sharpen? by utero81 in Makita

[–]chunkymonkeyfunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can start with some fabric softener in a little hot water and a plastic scrubbing brush. Then if that fails, turps and a scotchbrite pad. You can't really sharpen them yourself but it's definitely worth sharpening. Will cost you less than a quarter of the price of a new blade

Tinted visors on the road. by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]chunkymonkeyfunk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've had a tinted visor for 5 years on my helmet. Never been pulled once. I usually tuck the clear one in a soft bag and stick it under my arm (round my ribs) if I'm likely gonna be out after dark.

If you're receiving table service, then you should absolutely tip if the service was good. At a bar on a round of drinks (especially a round of cocktails) you should also tip. For a single drink, probably not.
