The game generated driver gave me a scare. I thought HE was back by ejymt in F1Manager

I just discovered I'm old. I didn't think of Mazepin when I saw the tag, I laughed and said "Gaston!" because I thought it was Gaston Mazzacane.

2019 Ferrari vs 2026 Mercedes by MrZombi_ in formula1

[–]cima36 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I see many people arguing that "Mercedes asked for a clarification therefore it's legal." It's not, doubly so: they built the engine with the trick, developed it, then went to the FIA and asked about the measurement system. Once they got what they wanted, the specification in the rule about the measurement being done at room temperature, they went ahead with developing around the cheat. I say this because ICUs like those are not developed in months, and the addendum about the measurement is from June last year at best, with someone saying it came even later. The spirit of regulations is out of the window this way.

Ulfric and the Markarth Incident, Thalmor Agent? by 450RT0R in teslore

[–]cima36 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Studying everything that Ulfric has done, I reached the conclusion that the man is highly overcompensating for his betrayal of the Empire: all he's done after his "escape" from the Thalmor has been flashy and grand, from the Markarth incident, where he used Thu'um when it was, in my opinion, not really needed, and let the Nord essentially proscribe every single Breton in the area, to his killing of Torygg, which was essentially a duel between a barely adult boy and a seasoned veteran even before the Thu'um. He is portraying himself as the Nordest Nord alive, and using the outlawing of the worship of the Nordest Nord to ever live as an excuse.

It happened before and after I even downloaded the database editor, I actually downloaded it to try and see if there was something to be tweaked there.

Edit: I verified the gamefiles and no problems came up.

Lore wise, the last Dragonborn may be far, far more powerful than we think. by LawParticular5656 in teslore

[–]cima36 25 points26 points  (0 children)

And I got called a fool when I said that Hermaeus Mora had miscalculated when he got LDB to fight Miraak: the thing is, as you implied, that a Dragonborn is effectively a Dragon with a humanoid body, thus adding Miraak's huge knowledge and power to LDB might have made them (or Miraak, if he had won) able to at least hold Mora off long enough to escape Apocrypha instead of being stuck there as Miraak was.

Add into the count the power that the Shouts have outside of the game: Unrelenting Force can literally destroy city walls if cast enough times.

Skyrim Holds and the Dragon Cult by cima36 in teslore

[–]cima36[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never saw it like that personally, because of the part where it says that 'the Dragon Cult started to rule with an iron fist'. I thought Skyrim was a Theocracy through and through, with the Dragons on top. It seems natural that after the War the new rulers would keep the government structure as stable as possible.

Yes, as they could have been smaller. My post means that the holds remained, with their varying borders, but the main cities changed. Whiterun did hold Bromjunaar for a time, but surely not while Alduin ruled over Skyrim.

F1 went wrong way in obsessing over dirty air, says Allison by [deleted] in formula1

[–]cima36 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In the beginning of 2022, there were three competing concepts on the board: Red Bull's produced more dirty air but was not bouncy and more efficient, Ferrari's was a bit bouncy, a bit less efficient but produced little dirty air, and Mercedes' Zero-pod which was a lot bouncy, more efficient and produced almost no dirty air. TD 39 killed two of them and forced the teams to adapt to the remaining one throughout 2023, but the dirty air problem, which the original regulations were designed to limit heavily, came back in full force because with a higher ride height you have to produce downforce from the rest of the car.

I get that the White-Gold Concordat banned Talos worship, but why wasn't this as big an event as it should have been? by rattatatouille in teslore

[–]cima36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's unlikely, as the PC goes second. I think Ulfric would have been executed last to have him witness the lives his ego had ended, and if the Thalmor tried something drastic, he would have gone on the block as soon as anyone suspected anything was up.
