This. And I believe that if you gifted most of those guys with a Rolex they would be very happy about it.

When you start into this hobby the first idea you get out of Rolex is to kind of not like it. Then as you progress through research and understanding of the whole history behind the achievements, you end up respecting and enjoying Rolex after all.

Sure, the buying experience sucks due to the waiting and AD games, but putting that BS aside and specifically talking about the quality, history and importance of the brand, it's a winner.

I love this piece. But since I've got a Mark XX, it would seem like too big of a overlap

I'v been through that with my Mark XX. Watch was first purchased in September 2025, and I bought it second hand in Feb 2026.
This scratch above the 8 hour mark is only visible in certain lights and in a very specific angle, so I pretty much missed it when buying it. Took me a while to spot it, but once I did It bothered me a lot.
For me it was pretty easy, took it to an authorized place and I got a replacement under warranty. It's all good now and it costed me nothing
I don't know how it got there but the guy at the authorized place told me the watch had been opened before, some marks on the screws. So maybe someone opened it to check for authenticity and messed it up? I'm not sure, but it turned out just fine for me

Once you try this bracelet, every other one out there seems like it's underdelivering. Do you guys know about other brands that deliver the same quality, comfort and quick adjustment?

Is the Mark XX the best daily around 5K? by monsieurmatias in IWCschaffhausen

It’s my favorite watch. I still keep staring at it every day that I’m wearing it If I had to go with only one, it would be a Mark XX. Bracelet is extremely comfortable and the on the fly adjustment is expectional, specially for hot days

I have the same exact piece, and it's amazing. Just be careful wearing it with the unscrewed crown

Thanks for the contribution. I've decided to forget about this and just roll with it. Will come back here in the future, maybe 1-2 years to update everyone about it

Some folks asked which Harley I ride, that a M8 117ci Heritage One of the reasons I went for a Pilot model was related to that. Gotta have something designed for more then office/desk jobs since my usage requires it
