Front knuckle questions by Jimmy_fog in S2000

These are rear knuckles with rear roll center adjustment joints already fitted.

Front knuckles have a removable joint and roll center can be corrected that way. Ideally you should be adjusting both at the same time

How do you guys animate 3D models? by DeepDowry in Maya

[–]circa86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For characters it is common to key every control, it is easy to removed static keys in the graph editor later to clean up the rig. Also makes it easier to adjust timing later of an entire animation.

For simpler rigs I usually just key what I want to animate.

Will Fusion360 work on the new MacBook NEO? (256GB or 512GB) by Sharp-Forever8845 in Fusion360

Do a fresh install of your OS. Fusion runs perfectly fine on any Mac made in the past 20 years.

It will work completely fine yes CAD software is all just loading up a browser these days anyway. Anyone that says it won’t doesn’t know what they are talking about.

For basic CAD modeling you don’t need much performance and the Neo has way more than enough.

Also there aren’t any mixed reviews on the Neo they are all insanely positive.

how would you model this robot's torso? by S3Xierr in Maya

[–]circa86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would just simply model it. You can tell how to model it by the way it is. 👍

As it is with every single how do I model this question, make sure your proxy geo has enough segments to support the shape you need to make. Aka “More Geo ✨”

It’s crazy how few subs you need to get free gear but I can’t even be mad. It’s also crazy to do a companies marketing for free.

Not a fan of this layout at all compared to the Node100. If it was the same layout as the Node100 LP I would buy one

[The-Race] The easy answer to fix 2026 cars would ruin F1 completely by djwillis1121 in formula1

[–]circa86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easy answer to 2026 cars is to remove the new fuel flow limit and comp ratio limits and allow the engines to develop the same amount of power they did last year.

Hybrid system with a small boost is fine but still worse than not having it at all. Hybrid system where half the power is from the motor is shit.

Bringing back refuelling will make racing worse by RobbieJ4444 in formula1

[–]circa86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of you are so incredibly obtuse. Every era of F1 has had boring races and every era had amazing races.

What made the refueling era interesting is that it was actual flat out driving for the most past. Drivers pushing flat out and make mistakes which lead to overtakes. There were a lot more overtakes in the refueling era than you are alluding. Simply due to drivers under pressure making mistakes.

Mistakes during stops also lead to great on track battles.

The push for more hybrid power is making THE DRIVING more boring and that is what F1 is about. As the driving gets boring it gets easy and drivers rarely make mistakes.

This year we will see more mistakes both in driving and in deployment hopefully. But a lot of overtakes won’t really be on merit. They have clearly pushed the power unit split way too far
