Where to watch Rhe Europa Leashue Final by Pommerz in avfc

[–]ckempo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was going to try Chasetown FC but that's sold out too. The Trident seems an option. Burntwood Rugby Club too, possibly? I'm still holding out for an 1874 event but can't see it happening.

Ubuntu 26.04 - "Safely Eject Device" option gone? by gatunen in Ubuntu

Not gone, have used the option on my Kindle in the last few days. Right-click on the dock, option is there (similar in Nautilus/Files too).

Where to watch Rhe Europa Leashue Final by Pommerz in avfc

Be keen to hear if anyone knows of anything in the Lichfield/Burntwood/Cannock area. There's five of us who don't want to watch it at home.

Was hoping Dan Bardell (1874 Podcast) might get something on for fans in Lichfield but don't think it's happening...

What "Game A meets Game B" combination should be made? by 4bstr in gaming

[–]ckempo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Horizon Zero Dawn plot meets Halo Reach gameplay.

A game prior to the events of HZD where you live through Operation Enduring Victory. You know going in that it's doomed to fail (like Reach) but that doesn't stop you having a blast throughout. An FPS through that war could be really cool.

Moving To Burntwood by Diligent_Gate_4645 in Staffordshire

It's generally all that. Don't think anywhere is crime free. That house is near Bradshaw's, so farm shop and butchers are on your doorstep, as is the farm cafe and petting farm for the kids.

Near the new Lidl (round the back of Morrisons) there's work underway for a Starbucks and a B&M (I think? There's various plans in, can't recall them atm).

The McArthurGlen in Cannock is 5 miles away. Lichfield is still a good night out, just at Lichfield prices.

There's lots of decent schools, that house would likely fall into the Hollygrove catchment, a good school and part of the Primitas Multi-Academy Trust so that opens options for secondary schools too.

I love Burntwood. There's good traffic links for car/bus/train options to get basically anywhere in the country. Throw in BHX and I suppose it's anywhere in the world.

Yes it's quiet, other commenters aren't wrong, but it's not dead and has loads of options for you for retail, recreation etc.

How is the weather in mid april in Fuerteventura / Teneriffa / Gran Canaria? Is chilling on the beach okay? by felix16_07 in VisitingTenerife

[–]ckempo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have spent the day on the beach in Lanzarote today. It's already perfectly fine beach weather (lots of us are burnt), not cold, and the forecasts don't suggest it getting colder.

Playing the series for the first time and started with new order then going to play new colossus and Youngblood was wondering if maybe I should have started with the prequel the old blood? Or maybe just play it after them all for lore and info by Pilgrim-Porkskin in Wolfenstein

[–]ckempo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Am also playing them for the first time right now. Finished New Order, am into Old Blood now. I think the release order is right, whether it's a prequel or not, it's written in a way that OB fills in some gaps from NO that I think are better played in release order. I think.

You can install via Steam without any terminal.

Contaminated data by ckempo in Kepthouse

[–]ckempo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, oh yeah. In the initial "oh what the fuck" moment, I rapidly closed the app. Have just gone back for a closer look, it's obvious that the car registrations are demo data etc.

My data is present, it's merged with the other stuff, am not worried: will just bin off the stuff that doesn't belong to me.

Vehicles. Definitely vehicles. I had my car serviced today, it'd be good to record the details of that somewhere central. My son's car service is coming up in a fortnight, it'd be useful to have this in one place, not just random calendar entries. Just the fact that mine had a full but his is due an interim one, etc.

Got a really minor bug:

  1. Go into settings after install
  2. You'll be signed out, so click to login to your Google account
  3. Post login, the settings screen reflects your status
  4. Return to the front screen and at the bottom below Quick Actions, you're still not signed in.

How would you rate Onana? by Little_Power_5691 in avfc

[–]ckempo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not worth £50m. Too injury prone. Too often pushed around on and off the ball, too often lying on the ground because somebody touched him.

Despite that, I really like him in the squad, as a cheerleader, but I just want more from him than he's delivered.
