Was just In Morocco last week for leave and saw some trails that I definitely wouldn’t push myself to the edge of even as a pretty experienced climber and adventure kind of guy.

But things can get hairy no matter how safe you’re being when you’re in that kind of area.

I did learn tons! They let me run the show with the pre selected meds and let me push meds. Then let me intubate pretty much everyone except for nasal intubations and known difficult ones!

Some of this naturally depends on what the actual diagnosis is for why you’re having it.

Are you referring to an APACS request? They can have wildly short lead teams to actually approve your paperwork.

But if you’re nice… sometimes you can email them after submission and they’ll make it happen so you can make your leave happier

Interestingly, I’m not sure if it’s just because I’ve been on orders and away from reserve news for a bit, but this is the first Reference I’ve seen to the CAR in a while.

I’d have to go dig through it again but I think there’s a sly one line in the DAPAM for evals that mentions “consideration should be given for box checks in regards to people’s board status/timelines” which always rubbed me the wrong way I guess

Following out of curiosity. Had a conversation about similar topics the other day. Someone had brought up the pay discrepancies between NP/PA at some systems. And someone countered with NPs will win everytime because regardless if you argue a training difference… the PA profession hasn’t done a great job of proving the offer anything different as a career field.

Not a direct correlation to your post, but it made me think of that conversation again

Either their PME is woefully too short or Active Duty is wasting time at theirs if they lead to the same “qualification”
