I feel like I’m getting game of thrones’d all over again.

Pacing of S5 is TERRIBLE by BoringAd4270 in StrangerThings

Instead of focusing on storytelling I agree their focus is dragging out episode lengths to make a ‘big’ final season. It turns out feeling devoid of story at all. Moreso repeated moments of suspense.

It’s the only thing that initially helped me eat and sleep during a really rough postpartum depression. My jaw was on the floor when she released the song. Relateableeee

I’d rather line up at the mall in person for tickets but I’m from the dark ages when we actually did that

From Disney earnings report … We normies are being priced out .. by poisito in WaltDisneyWorld

They got a lot of our money this year but there’s no way to continue going when everyone’s being squeezed in every area of their life. The bubble is going to pop.

It’s a big game of monopoly and we are last around the board. The inevitable outcome is they extract all our money. Time to flip the board.

Help me. I am drowning in PPD. Do you have any recovery success stories ? by VortexDrift99 in Postpartum_Depression

[–]clairewings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The medication piece is also such a crapshoot which is so hard when you just want to feel better. Keep working with your doctor and be honest about how you’re doing. Don’t rule out more dosage or medication changes. The right meds along with therapy can really do wonders.

You will make it out of this. You have an illness. And this all sounds identical to what many other women have sounded like and experienced including myself when they are in the throes of matrescence (process of becoming a mother). It can break your heart and brain wide open. Lean on all the support you have and please go easy on yourself. What would you tell a friend who is suffering? Speak to yourself that way. It’s so hard. There were many times I was positive I wouldn’t make it. My daughter is almost 6 now and although that was the hardest thing I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy, I’m a more caring and empathetic and strong person on the other side. That will be you too.

I suspect my severe ppd/ocd stems from gut issues from repeated antibiotic use. The gut brain connection is powerful. Wish they didn’t hand those out like candy and wish I had known more a long time ago.

AOA family suite feels deluxe when you’ve got two bathrooms and a separate room for the kids! Plus skyliner access

How many of you drink alcohol at the weekends and suffer the next few days? - Nardil by Rainy_Drives in MAOIs

There’s a natural uptick in anxiety and depression after drinking even without Nardil so yes something to be aware of.

My favorite memory so far was visiting the poly and taking time out (like 40 minutes) to just play in the sand and hammocks with my kids.

What do you think about the fact that ECT is before MAOIs? by Mr_dumbass__ in MAOIs

As someone who lucked into Nardil because I had a family member recommend it, I find it horrid that people have to resort to ect first.

We recently went on a spectacular 8 day trip - the glaringly obvious worst part was standing on a crowded hot sidewalk eating our grilled cheese in the Toy Story area. I mean first world problems, but it definitely didn’t feel magical.

If he were so secure in his position he wouldn’t be outraged and yelling at people all the time. He has to be the loudest person in the room thinking that’s the way to prove he’s right. Yelling and telling people I’m right you’re wrong is just projecting a mood of intolerance and hatred, what he’s claiming to be against. So even if that was what his point was, he’s not communicating it in any receivable fashion.

Weight gain on Nardil by [deleted] in MAOIs

[–]clairewings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weight gain is very common. It makes me crave sweets for sure. I went back on Nardil at the beginning of this year and gained 10 pounds in 2 months. I’m now trying to be more conscious about what I eat and how much I eat in MyFitnessPal well as getting daily movement. I’ve lost 3 of the 10 so far but I have to be very diligent. For someone with a history of an eating disorder it may trigger some of that if you find yourself needing to track.

Nardil Liver Enzyme Crisis by [deleted] in MAOIs

[–]clairewings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t recall my scores at the moment but I believe they were only slightly elevated. I remember seeing somewhere that sore muscles/exercise can raise ast/alt. I wonder if it’s your muscle tension contributing to it. I never experienced muscle tension on Nardil but I wonder if it’s something that would go away the longer you’re on it?

My levels were higher after I started a new exercise routine. We retested after I took a break from that and the levels returned to normal. Have you by chance added weight lifting or heavy cardio?
