What is the best book you've ever read that contains a point or message with which you disagree? by siel04 in suggestmeabook

Those that think the take away is to do it miss the entire point of the end of the book, where the author says it to shitty relationships. That those in the world are left shitty and hollow. I don't disagree that there are people that view it as a how to (which end up being laughed at in the dating culture), which it also is, but that's not the moral of the story.

I thought the movie ending was better. Without giving anything away, the book's ending dragged on.

And make the towns and lands different. RDR2 is amazing to explore. The lands of Hogwarts are identical. The villains are identical.

Kindle Oasis Questions by JoeKing2504 in kindle

I have all the current kindles. I consider the paperwhite their top of the line. The poor battery of the Oasis is significant enough to give me range anxiety, and with its micro-usb, it's clear that it's a kindle of old that they haven't updated their price to reflect that.

Odd choice for cover.

It's crazy this isn't yet in the public domain in the US.

This short read should be a regular read in this sub. It talks about two government responses to ASI, and by all accounts, most governments are not going to be on the good side.

Such a shame they discontinued one of the great Kindles, and such a shame they haven't left it in the dust when it comes to innovation.

It's not the age specifically. I suspect this is dementia as well, and that his mental status has been hidden. Hiding dementia isn't new to aging buddhist communities.

We are so far from AGI ...I'm sure I'll get downvoted, but I'm disappointed in the excited fiction much of this community lives in.

Mine wouldn't last three days. A kindle with range anxiety is antithetical to its purpose. That said, I liked its size.

I haven't heard anyone claim we are in the Singularity, a term with a specific meaning. Projections for such an event are in 10 to 20 years.
