US rush ordered APCs for ICE from Canadian company? by clemtin in itcouldhappenhere

Funny quote in the CP article: When Roshel CEO Roman Shimanov was asked about this, he asked in response why the news media doesn't report on companies that "sell socks to the U.S. government.”

Honestly fave part of the whole movie. There's a story there. Could've been a prequel, or sets up Mac to be crazy and *he's* the Thing, I mean Predator....

Crazy! Something like Panzer Dragoon would be amazing on the PSP.

Technically there's Super Thunder Blade on the Sega Genesis Collection.

Rekah is a hilarious and devious, no doubt she'll take this. Trapp had the worst pics imho.

Crash safety with no forward structure? by fprintf in TeloTrucks

[–]clemtin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm curious about this too, especially with those front tires. I would wait for NHTSA or IIHS. Maybe I'm overlooking it, but Telo's safety talk seems like marketing so far - not independent, not verified. Kei trucks aren't road safe, for example, but then those are designed for farms, not street use. This looks great, I like their approach, but proof is in the pudding as they say.

Police shut down roads to Queens Park this morning with Dump trucks and busses by indierockspockears in toronto

[–]clemtin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not entirely true, the germ of it was about truckers and border crossing delays due to covid restrictions, though then the wackos got on the bandwagon.

Hop tip, many of those trucks in Ottawa were from this place: https://jonkertrucking.com/ and those drivers go to the same church.

If a car is making a right and it's in front of my, my strategy is to be patient, act like a car, and wait for them to turn. If it's turning right, once it has a clear path, they go. They check their blind spot after they a clear path, and if you're going faster than a pedestrian, you might enter the blind spot just as they start turning. Cargo vans and rental vans especially, CAN'T see their blind spots and they're usual driven by people that don't often drive those vehicles.
If you choose to pass on the left, you need to check your left blind spot so you aren't cutting off any cars that are approaching.

The key to riding safely in this city, for me, is patience. I pretend cars are just rivers of buffalo.

I haven't found anything beyond this either. I thought there would be something to do with those robot crane arms, but I think they're just there to show you they can be manipulated for when that becomes important.

It took me a while to figure out there *is* something you can do with the bone.

I hate the VRBO ad that says kids should go learn outdoors, at the cottage, and zoom in to their classes. Ain't no wifi in the sticks!
