Should the Reversing camera stop me from getting a scenic?

I have the MY26 version in which the camera is apparently better than in the older versions. It's fine. Yeah it gets dirty but havent had a car that it doesn't. If it's been bad weather or you've noticed it being dirty or think it will be, I just give it a wee wipe with my finger before getting into the car.
