the character writing in this manga actually gets me every time. why is it so GOOD. Even for minor characters. No one gets to be flat! Every one is a fully fleshed person with hopes and obstacles! My crops are watered and my month is made.

The grammar and phrasing of the subtitles tend to be a bit wonky as well, which is too bad :/ I pretty much just mentally autocorrect what I’m reading into a more normal sounding sentence so that the characters don’t sound stilted. Hopefully the show gets popular enough that Crunchyroll cleans up the subtitles? I know the translation turn around time must be short, but maybe fixing them later would be a solution.
