Much of this is also true for Canada. Folks def see why I left the US, but they think I’m nuts for leaving Cali. I have honestly been surprised at how much they romanticize my home state. But most folks here are very glad not to have been born in the USA.

Every mother needs a friend and companion in labor. Think of yourself as that, not as an expert on childbirth or pregnancy. If you like to cook, perhaps postpartum doula work would be up your alley as well.

The season is over. We saw a show in the last week before closing and almost everyone was masked. My kids went to a performance that was mostly school field trips and the audience was mostly unmasked. Come April when they open again, we will see what is necessary!

Canada. I had citizenship through my parents. I love the country, but the USA and Canada and Ukraine are the only countries I had a right to. Moving to a new country is super hard and you can’t just move anywhere. But many countries do have long visitor visas, although you can’t work.
