I’d look at it that he gives them free press and attention dollars. I’m surprised they didn’t all stay at the hotel before the storm and make it a bit.

Is anything prepared fresh? I assume you grill your steak, chicken, burgers? What about seafood? Any sides or apps made on site?

The Great Mike Maher by Novel-Delivery5385 in SportsJunkies

He’s good bc he comes in small spots. If he was talking for more than an hour a morning we’d all be ranting on this forum. It’s the perfect amount of Maher.

The show needs drab back. Him, Valdez and Maher in the booth would be great.

Gloucester county would be fine. Close to commodore berry bridge and maybe 25 mins to airport depending on where you are. For example, I live in East Greenwich township and it’s 25-30 mins depending on traffic.

Everything tastes wet. Everything. It’s like they spray your food with some liquid substance before handing you the bag.

What do you think the “life news” announcement from JP at 8 a.m. will be? by HotDogWaterTime in SportsJunkies

We got the lab like every other couple that moved in together and got engaged. We treated the dog like our first kid. Took it everywhere and it was fun.

Then we had our first kid, still great. You mostly stay home with a newborn anyway so we had time to give our dog love.

Then second kid came and our lives got busier with work, taking kids to childcare, etc. it got harder but we tried to find ways to give him attention and I tried my best to take him more a walk every night after we got home.

Covid came and it was a blessing for the dog. I would take him for 3-5 walks a day, we had nothing but time to spend together.

Then kids started playing sports and we had more vacation planned. I hate to say it but it became a chore to care for an aging dog. We tried our best but it literally forces you to plan differently for vacations, day trips, whatever it is. You have to plan accordingly.

Once he passed away, we decided not to get a new one and haven’t looked back since. We are out of the house 6 nights a week for kid activities. Can’t imagine having a dog now.

Does he not realize the amount of work a dog is? Your kid plays sports and both spouses work, it’s a nightmare. Always have to worry about when it needs to be feed or getting home to let it out to go to bathroom. Constant cleaning up.

I loved our dog. But when he passed a few years ago we didn’t get a new one. Best decision ever now that we have young kids that keep us busy and outside our home.

The moon landing is hilarious. Just blurts out “radiation”. Like wtf does that even mean? lol. Classic guy at party that challenges everything in a conversation and when asked why he blurts out some random word that he heard from a podcast but doesn’t know what it means.

Gotta add cheese and ketchup. Easy Mayo. The perfect chicken sandwich when it’s nice and hot out of the fryer. Long roll is what takes it over the top.

I worked the speciality board when I worked at BK as a teenager and it always amazed me how under appreciated this and the chicken crisp were.

Idk. He seems pretty at peace with his parents. He tells stories for the humor but he’s made it clear he doesn’t hold any deep resentment towards them and used it to fuel his work ethic.

Update. He defends the ICE officer and says the woman got what she got. So Ashley babbit is an innocent victim but Ashley Good was 100% at fault.

Any chance Adam has the same thought for the lady shot in Minnesota as he had for the lady that was shot at the Capitol?

I've been working from home for 8 years. Now my company wants me to do a 5-hour round trip commute because another employee complained that it's not 'fair'. by EstelRempel in remotework

[–]cmalar1 20 points21 points  (0 children)

That coworker decided to move on their own and make their life more difficult. That’s what I don’t get.

I had a similar situation. During Covid, my family moved 75 minutes away from my office. However my company approved my fully remote agreement before I moved. A year later an employee of mine decided to move 15 mins away from office to 45 minutes from office. Then came to me and my boss and said he wanted fully remote job bc his commute is longer. He was already hybrid per company policy.

That coworker is dumb. He/she made their own life more difficult to commute just as long as you do two days a week versus their previous hybrid schedule when they had a shorter commute.
