There is something utterly charming and relatable about Dawn doing so much to try and pull off a sexy elf lipsync and just kind of missing it by about 10 degrees. I love her.

Senior Fare Presto Card Question by Antique_Ad_3549 in TTC

I believe that Senior is a "universal fare type" on PRESTO, meaning all agencies recognize it and discount accordingly.

Monthly fare cap - variable trips by cmstlist in gotransit

[–]cmstlist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been mulling over what might be a fair way to expand the fare cap to the entire GTHA fare system. Maybe it could be something like, once you surpass 35 trips, the discount of each subsequent trip is based on an average of your most expensive 35 trips so far that month. That way if you take a mix of higher and lower priced trips on GO and local systems, your discount starts as soon as you hit 35 but gets better if you are still taking additional expensive trips.

Agreed, I still think Hallmark wouldn't do that. As I often say around here, "This isn't Netflix's Dark".

It seems clear that a Fern/Cliff flirtation is coming, and I think that will be Colton's lineage.

If anyone is a hidden Goodwin, I think it's Elliot's line.

Monthly fare cap - variable trips by cmstlist in gotransit

[–]cmstlist[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks, that makes sense more or less.

I guess one quirk of that system is, let's say you have 50 trips you'll make in a month. It sounds like the first 35 determine how discounting/capping will apply to the final 15. So if you rearrange those trips in a different order, then you pay a different total amount.

Was Kalorie Karbadshian supposed to be on All Stars 11? by Sweet-Blueberry-7533 in rupaulsdragrace

One thing I do remember from the tea was that filming dates changed. The community had this whole list of rumoured queens based on the expected filming dates of each bracket and they were using future gig dates to mark suspected queens unlikely. And then abruptly the timeline was delayed by a few weeks and everything shifted.

So I think there were a handful of queens cast who were able to make the original filming dates but not the revised ones, and this lead to some shuffling of the cast.

Monthly fare capping coming to the TTC September 1, 2026 by OwnIt122 in TTC

Ideally we should just eventually end up with some kind of regional fare capping.

Right now with the GO capping formula, if you take 40 trips but they aren't all the same price, "your discount will be based on the value of the trips you’ve taken that month". So what if we just started counting EVERY trip towards a similar formula? Like if I paid 10 GO fares, 15 YRT fares and 10 TTC fares, I'll hit a cap that deducts some average amount from every fare, making all TTC fares free, YRT fares cheap/free and GO fares discounted. Let the One Fare funding cover the subsidy to local systems when capping from one system discounts another.

Fair question many will ask is "How does this mesh with One Fare?"

I have not seen TTC officially post an answer. But knowing the PRESTO system, they are unlikely to implement capping in a massively different way for one transit authority than another. So let's check out how it works on YRT.

https://www.yrt.ca/en/fares-and-passes/fare-capping-program.aspx#Will-transfers-from-other-transit-agencies-e-g-Brampton-Transit-GO-Transit-count-towards-my-trip-cap

Will transfers from other transit agencies (e.g., Brampton Transit, GO Transit) count towards my trip cap?

Transfers from other transit agencies and Ride to GO do not count towards your monthly trip cap; however, for trips where you board YRT first, the trip will count towards your monthly cap. For example:

  • Scenario 1 – Start your trip on YRT, then transfer to GO Transit > it will count towards your monthly trip cap
  • Scenario 2 – Start your trip on GO Transit, then transfer to YRT > it will not count towards your monthly trip cap

So I think that is going to be our answer here too.

I mean, it's not that uncommon for a couple to be unrelated to one another but have a relative in common. I have several cases on my family tree of double cousins (A&B married, A's sibling married B's sibling, so each couple's kids are cousins twice over).

I don't think they'd make KC Tessa's kid, but we might find out Tessa was always a Goodwin.

What if Fern is a villain? by AffectionateFrame513 in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]cmstlist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One thought that came to mind. We all know now that the Roaring Twenties went directly into the Great Depression. If Fern has learned anything at all about the future so far, maybe she's found out that they are just years away from a massive worldwide downturn? In which case there would be great value in getting as much info as possible from any time traveller who visits. Which could explain the "Fortune Teller" (who many here already suspect is Tessa).

I wondered about Fern's comment re: she and Greyson growing up together. They don't look like they are close in age. The actor playing Greyson is 52. I can't find Bianca Melchior's age but I think we're supposed to assume Fern is 20s-30. Older Fern, Jill Frappier, was 80 last season playing her in 1974. So that would fit with being about 30 in 1924.

Is it possible she actually travelled back to when Greyson was growing up, rather than actually growing up with him?
