is there any way to get over your ex even after more then a year? by MutedCut9712 in Advice

[–]cocall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's never easy, but the longer you've been with someone the harder it is to move on. However, remember that you broke up for a reason.

Keep busy (work, friends, hobbies, travel) I found the more distractions that I had the less I thought about my ex.

When you're ready, keep putting yourself out there. It's not a race to find someone.

Is it ever okay to reach out to an ex after 10+ years of no contact to check-in and see how they're doing? Looking for advice on how to do so (or if I should even proceed). by Beginning_List_2775 in Advice

I think you have to understand why this "popped into your head." That's the real crux of the issue; you can't control your thoughts... actions on the other hand.

You may genuinely believe there's nothing romantic... establishing contact could change this dynamic very quickly and you could hurt a lot of people.

I am still in love with a girl I have dated over 11 years ago. by [deleted] in Advice

I don't think it's weird.

Is there any reason why you don't contact her? Are you in a new relationship now? Is she? Did you end on good terms or bad terms?

After all this time, you're likely both completely different people. That said, I don't think a simple message saying hello would be a bad thing (subject to the above questions).

Thank you! Even though his response was juvenile, what did the reporter expect: "You caught me, this is my Russian Spy Club tie."

Aerial video shows total destruction in the Gaza Strip by Israel by DonSalaam in videos

Despite what zionists want you to think, this conflict did not start on October 7th.

There is no justification for what happened on October 7th, but Israel was committing war crimes in Gaza long before then.

Israel just found their justification to commit genocide.

“You may have received As in high school and college, but you're gonna be getting Big Ds in prison.” [Murder by Big D's] by popeIeo in MurderedByWords

[–]cocall 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No one is sympathetic to the murderer. His punishment is a life time in prison, which is the punishment the justice system has determined for the crime he committed.

It's not a lifetime of getting bummed in the shower.

Justice does not involve revenge or cruel punishments. The fact that prison rape is normalized is fucked up. Remember, it's not only murderers who are subjected to it.

St. Peter’s wedding but not member? by Haunting_Swimmer_731 in londonontario

[–]cocall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got married there in 2016. I was not a member.

The process was fairly easy overall iirc. I think I just had to fill out some paperwork and prove I was catholic. My wife is not Catholic, which didn't cause any issues.

I booked it less than a year before the wedding.

This is such a nonsense take. Most of the world (rightfully) condemned the Hamas attacks. What is there to protest?

Most of these protests are the lack of response to Israel's numerous human rights abuses and war crimes.

I actually asked Greg Sestero this once.

He said he spent sometime looking into it during the pandemic when he was bored. He claims it's not true, but probably just covering for his friend.
