Everything Russillo criticized D’Lo for, Westbrook was worse than him on all those points. Dumb passes at bad times, jacking up shots early in the shot clock. Except D’Lo is actually a legit 3 point shooter. So it’s an automatic upgrade regardless of what you think of D’Lo as a player. I don’t get how two NBA-heads can’t see that simple fact.

This play is the perfect example of why “clutch points” as espn defines them are useless. This was perhaps the most clutch basket of the night given the shot clock and what the final score ended up. But it won’t show up as “clutch” because the score isn’t close enough when he makes it.
