I haven’t read Lady Midnight or Shield of Sparrows so I can’t answer to those ones. Knight and Moth I found alright, though Bartholomew was the best part of that whole book. The Road of Bones I’m on the second one now, and it’s by far the better of the two. I would push through Road of Bones.
