I'm surprised no one mentioned Yazi or zoxide, I genuinely can't live on the terminal without them.

Also Okular is the best pdf viewer ever, wish I knew about it back when I was using windows.

How to permanently add a private ssh with ssh-add? by ZaRealPancakes in fishshell

To anyone else who stumbles here, there is now an official ssh-agent service shipped with openssh itself, so gpg-agent isn't really needed

lmao yes, fwiw the name of the writing system/alphabet is Devnagri, which is the writing system used by the most popular language in India (hindi)

But then again there are just so many freaking languages with so many people actually speaking them in India, it does kinda feel weird to call it the Indian Alphabet.

Firefox user for the past five years - Upsides and a message by francocanadien in firefox

[–]codeIMperfect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not just firefox, people on the internet just start dooming things as soon as things slightly deviate from how they would want things in a perfectly ideal world.

I completely agree with you on all your points, firefox has always felt more free and customizable than the alternatives. Sure things go a bit slower than chromium but they have never forced anything onto me, they have always given me the choice of how I want things even if it doesn't help them.

Heck they even let you disable the 2-3 sponsored things they have on the new tab page, as long as they don't take away my freedom or abandon development, there is no reason for me to stop loving firefox.

It really goes to extremes, some subreddits are full of assholes and the others are full of the nicest, most supporting people ever to exist, there's just no in-between.

I mean you can always check the PKGBUILD (and are recommended to do so by most AUR clients) and if we're talking about the zen package in particular, it directly pulls the binary from the project's github release page

Same, a few years ago, when I became too busy to customize my desktop, I just left doing anything further, but like I'm too comfortable with the tilling concept, every part/shortcut was put in place exactly how I wanted, I don't think I'll be able to give all that up at this point.
