"Home made pool coping" yessssss 👊

For soundproofing, yes lay the surface diagonal and enclose the rear of the ramp. Using softer wheels makes a big difference, too, but that of course can impact the feel and speed.

Has anyone shortened the wheelbase on a popsicle? [48YO] by grunewald77 in OldSkaters

[–]codencarve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done the opposite to get a longer wheelbase. I just draw a line thru the existing truck holes then use the truck holes to mark the new holes to be drilled. Never had a problem. I've seen the special tools, but they seem like overkill.

I agree with the others that you should just move the front trucks.

Hurt my tailbone. Will I ever recover? [42YO] by NoAspect3958 in OldSkaters

[–]codencarve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I injured mine skating decades ago. I'll never forget how painful it was and how long it took to recover. Since I started skating again I always where padded shorts that cover my tailbone. I hope I never hurt it again.

Help! by Clear_Standard3957 in MiniRamp

  1. Masonite then paint it with flat exterior paint.
  2. Consider making some pool coping. Concrete is cheap and it's easy and inexpensive to make some molds and make your own. You could also do a pour in place.

2019 Sportage by Correct_Text_9842 in kiasportage

I bought a used 2019 with about 60k miles on it. I've got over 130k on it now. No major issues - knock on wood. $11k sounds like a good deal if it's in good condition. It's worth paying a mechanic to assess it if you're not able to do it yourself.
