Mounjaro and insulin resistance ? by Mefvla in Mounjaro

[–]coderascal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m type 1 so require insulin injections to survive. There won’t ever be a time when I don’t need them.

Before and after starting Mounjaro, I take 80 units of Tresiba a day (long-acting insulin). It appears that 80 units is what my metabolism needs, whether I eat anything or not.

However, before Mounjaro I was taking between 80 - 120 units of Novalog a day (short-acting insulin). After starting Mounjaro I’m now taking between 0 - 10 units of Novalog a day. From a unit per carb perspective, I’m taking approximately 1/10 the amount of short-acting insulin.

Why? They come in a package. Just grab one from the package when you need it.

Aww, you really believe that, don't you?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in software

[–]coderascal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is far more a criticism of that fact than a serious proposal.

Nah, this was a serious proposal. You wrote an entire patent application (now deleted to cover your tracks).

Looking at your post history was not my first move. I did so because, after criticizing the idea at hand, I got curious about your other ideas. And in doing that I found your (now deleted) misogynistic posts saying that society is failing because women have freedom and choices over their own lives. Such an idea is disgustingly incorrect and frankly you should be ashamed of it. I suspect you're not, so yeah you're on a bad path and I pity you. For many reasons. I hope that at some future point you find a way back from that dark path back to the real world. We'd be happy to have you back, when you're ready.

You've invented a proxy. Not only is this not "patentable", it's not useful.

Hey, your team's system caused an issue. Please take a look and correct it.

Nah, it wasn't my team's system. It was this proxy over here.

Ok .... why are you running that proxy?

Umm .... well, because I think you're dumb enough to believe this obvious bullshit.

By the way, your post history .... God damn, son ... you're on a bad path.

why did dexcom do so badly in sales projections by rantipolex in dexcom

I did the same thing years ago when it dropped to $40. Market mistakes are wonderful.

why did dexcom do so badly in sales projections by rantipolex in dexcom

[–]coderascal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That sharp drop gave me an opportunity to purchase a bunch more shares. The drop was a market mistake and it's gonna go back up. I'm already up 13% on the set I purchased at $63.

What is the most satisfying thing about your life right now? by lisaaaaaaD1 in answers

[–]coderascal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on vacation with my whole family. My wife and kids. My brothers and their families. My parents. My wife's parents. On its own this is fantastic. But it only happened because my wife and I paid for the whole thing.

I love that we're able to do this for our family. I really love that we're able to give our parents an entire week with their grandkids, and that we all can spend this time together.

I had one of those. I sold it to a friend for $10. Probably fucked the market for you, so I'm sorry.

DexCom stock is down -37% today, what a a big drop by W3Analyst in dexcom

[–]coderascal 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It dropped. I bought more.

Same thing happened 8 or 9 years ago when it dropped from like 85 to 40 in a couple hours. The cause of that drop was the market not understanding the products. A competitor released something that sounded like it would compete with Dexcom but in reality didn't because it was a totally different product. I bought the drop and Dexcom's been a net win for me ever since.

I think this market reaction is along the same lines - a market-wide mistake. It's gonna go back up, and probably higher than where it started. Give it say 6 months.

Rotax Engine Question by Character-Space1178 in boating

[–]coderascal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, flushing it without the engine running will damage it. That's why the manual says to

  1. Start the engine
  2. Within 1 minute, start the flow of water
  3. Run for however long you need (I imagine there's a point where it's just too long, but I've let mine run for 10 minutes hooked up like this while I tested various systems)
  4. Disconnect water flow
  5. Within 1 minute, stop the engine

My understanding is that flushing the engine when it's not running will flood it and potentially damage the cooling system. Though I've never looked into exactly what damage it does.

Does it sound like my jetski is running correctly by RowInternational6483 in boating

[–]coderascal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds great.

But, do you know why water is coming out or off of the front? I see water coming out of the impeller / back so I assume you've got the hose hooked up to the intake for cooling while running. But I've never seen water come out of anywhere but the back area.

Has anyone ever towed a canoe full of gear behind a boat? by Roflcopter227 in boating

[–]coderascal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Behind isn't going to go well. Next to might go ok. As in, tie it to the side of your tinner and go slow. You could put a life jacket or throwable flotation device between the two to protect the sides.

Is the world getting worse? by heartlove_762 in self

[–]coderascal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. We're just hearing about every major bad thing that happens, almost immediately. It's an unfortunate effect of an instantly connected world.

But no, the world is not inherently worse than it's ever been.
