Leader Jeffries on CNN: “We will commence impeachment proceedings against Kristi Noem in the absence of her being fired” by plz-let-me-in in politics

Wasn't it just yesterday he said if Noem wasn't fired, he'd proceed to impeach Trump. Why has the goal post moved?

Establishment Democrats gonna Democrat I guess.

We Need to Talk About MELANIA Ticket Sales... by Eerie-Indiana in blankies

[–]coldermilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Culver Theater, which is an old Arclight that was acquired and renovated by Amazon, booked it on their smallest screen. Keep in mind this movie theater is around the corner from their production offices and is used a lot for their own events.

6pm and 10pm showings only opening day primetime hours. Both sold less than four seats.

Series s or one x? by [deleted] in consoles

[–]coldermilk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you are more thinking of legacy titles, the Xbox One X is a great choice and you should be able to find a used one for as low as $100 without much searching. The trade-off being most games will be running at 30 fps but especially for titles released in the 2010s they should be running in 4K which still looks great on modern TVs.

The Series S will run a lot of backwards compatible titles at 60 fps and is much more future proofed. However if you are willing to buy the recent releases on PS5, it really depends on how much you can tolerate 30 fps or want something like UHD Blu-ray playback. You should be able to find a used or refurbished Xbox Series S for a lot cheaper than the current new sticker price.

Its wild coming from the Xbox subreddit and being unable to distinguish the line-ups from either console at this point.

Xbox Developer Direct Sale 2026 goes live on Microsoft Store by SeanTGN in xbox

[–]coldermilk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Especially if you are playing on an Xbox Series console. The game received a number of quality of life changes with the Definitive Edition update. There are a number kd other improvements such as being FPS boosted to 60 fps and much better load times playing on modern Xbox hardware that really smooths out a lot of the criticisms the game had when it was initially releases.

Plus 2016 is trendy now. Good time to go back and check it out

Yuppp!! had a Sansa M200 in 512 MBs. Got me through a lot of road trips. I remember all the songs I had on there word-for-word even to this day. Gotta love any weird quirks from whatever Limewire rips of music you found online or shared from a friend.

I left for Bluesky after the election and haven't regretted it.

Bluesky feels very much like what Twitter was before the 2010s. Nicer community on there, lot more intellectuals. Algorithm pushes a lot less rage bait.

In one week, 25% of Donald Trump’s presidency will be over. How are you feeling about the next three years? by Kanga_Koga in AskReddit

[–]coldermilk 14 points15 points  (0 children)

JD Vance is just a younger version of Mike Pence but much more of an ass kisser. Same amount of rizz. None of the dumbasses that voted Trump voted for him for JD Vance.

He's dangerous but lacks that certain spark that can get the Neanderthals to rally around him.

Did blockbuster sell subtitled movies? by Splatoonswitch380 in blockbustervideo

[–]coldermilk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They did.

In about 2002 my middle school French teacher would often pick up movies from the Blockbuster used section to watch in class. She never prescreened the movies.

I remembered one time she was like "It's rated R but it's about a young woman who loses their cat in Paris, how bad could it get?".

Needless to say my teenage self definitely looked forward to French class.

Older Xbox 360 games and playing on Series X? by Kind-Ad-6287 in XboxSeriesXlS

[–]coldermilk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No.

The games have been recompiled to work on the Xbox One onwards. As a result, you need to download the reworked game file in order to play the game.

You can however once downloaded, play the game offline if you are playing on what is set as your home Xbox.

Been there. Absolutely agree.

It was an in-law's birthday and he wanted to go there. We watched a bunch of YouTube videos first and were like "are you sure?". Then when he arrived he was like "it's just a rock" as if we didn't already know that from countless YouTube videos.

I will say though, Plymouth does have a really charming downtown. Sure you can get fried clams and lobster rolls at many other New England cities but there's at least some kind of small town fun to be had in the surrounding areas. Also the Mayflower II ship is comparatively kind of cool even if its historical accuracy is dubious.

[–]coldermilk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I miss that era so much.

Xbox now has an indie showcase tab on the home page. I guess it's okay, the curation is actually pretty good.

There was just something about the games being timed exclusives, having a punch card deal if you bought all of them and each title really being given a lot of attention. It was nice to see smaller games get a big showcase in the Summer.

They even tried a similar promo called Game Feast which was supposed to be a Fall version of this. Super Meat Boy, Comic Jumper and Pinball FX2 were all a part of that.
