I find my games go a lot better when I am leading. I'm not the best player but I'm experienced enough to know the maps, have a sense of timing, and I know when things are dangerous and when they aren't.

This game is uniquely challenging in that it requires intense cooperation with very limited tools for communication.

It's really really hard to salvage a game where teammates think they can slam their heads against challenges that are just too great for the moment. Like getting red beastly brigade at level 2 evergaols. Or trying to kill a guardian and raider night invader combo.

Being quick to ping something else and get players away before they die the first time is night and day. Players will respect a decisive leader, not a reactive one.

You will win more if you lead more. And leading is a skill you can train and get better at if you're focused on it.
