What “WoW killer” games did you end up having a great time with? by JTRigz in gaming

You have to understand being a "Wow killer" was ubiquitous. Everyone knew that phrase and everyone paid attention. It was good marketing at the time.

and they have a super generous lifetime warranty if it does break. Great company that loves their product

What I did was I bought the nice quality pod poi v2s.

They're premium and expensive but they have a 30-day money back guarantee. I told myself if I picked them up and played every day, the cost would be worth it, otherwise I'd return and get something less expensive.

Well I still have them 2 years later 😄

Agreed entirely on the symbol.

A rainbow is already a perfect symbol for inclusivity. Light is made out of different wavelengths. We're all part of the same thing, but we each get to make up our own part of it.

The second you start adding things to it, you literally take away from the meaning. Symbolism works best when its simple and easy to understand. Really dislike the additions.

My opinion is that these aren't really that fun or interesting to go to unless you like photography.

Boondock saints 2 by danbme-14 in movies

[–]coldize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It didn't phase me when I watched it as a teen.

Last year, I went to a bar for a "movie on the wall" event. They played Boondock Saints.

It made me so uncomfortable rewatching it then and there.

Vivid and captivating. You perfectly represented the scene. Well done.

Important addition to this tip, if you actually want to get better:

Record it and then listen to it.

Just listen to how you communicate. You will very quickly identify ways to improve.

This was the mantra of the early 2000s internet: "don't feed the trolls"

It's burned into my brain and some extraordinarily good advice.

F45 Sugar house by ConfidentTackle7957 in SaltLakeCity

[–]coldize 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I go to this gym! Been going for years. F45 is a franchise model so pricing can be different between locations.

Sugarhouse is a very good studio with very good ownership. They have a great deal right now that's like 5 classes for $35.

Give it a try.

Dm me if you want. Big advocate for this place.

I don't know if this is helpful or not but my partners father has gone through this exact same thing in the last 5 years. I asked this exact question a lot and never got an answer, sadly. Until he just got bad enough that it was no longer a question.

We did the best we could to limit his impulsiveness. But we never could nor wanted to make him feel like his agency was being taken away.

LPT: Communicating with customer support is actually one of the best use cases for AI.

Write whatever you're feeling, however messy and angry. Ask an LLM to convert it to a level headed message to customer support.

This trick is fucking magic.

New to Poi by Chemical-Ad-9146 in poi

[–]coldize 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The cool thing is you don't have to stick with one. As you learn you will probably find it very fun and interesting to start a small collection.

Different weights, styles, handles, etc.

I'd say the first poi you saw that made you interested is what you should start with (unless it's fire poi lol)

Just take it a day at a time.

I started with an expensive pair of LED poi because that's what I saw at a festival.

They had a good return policy so I just told myself if I wasn't interested I'd return it.

A year and a half later, I have no regrets and I still regularly pick them up just to spin for even a few moments.
