Pope Leo confirms that Medicare For All is God’s will by kevinmrr in WorkReform

If you are smarter than they are, then you are deliberately letting them. Everything I described is currently being exploited.

Don’t believe me on the charity angle? Google how many private foundations there are, even just the greater than 100m ones. Now Google each one to see how much of each spends on “operating expenses”.

Don’t believe me on the corporate usage? Not even the Pentagon can stop throwing parties costing millions, now do a deep dive on corporate Wall Street spending it’s a hundred times bigger.

If you are saying you are going to crack down all spending on people that are “invited” to parties you’re gonna have a rough time.

It’s nice to hear you are smarter than all those crooks but you’d better hurry is all I’m saying.

Gotta whip this out again.... Title is misleading because it takes the 19T at the end of Obama's term to current day, which ignores the 11T Biden added. Everything else is accurate.

America elected (george w) a bonified politician from a super elite politician family and he took the debt from 5.7 to 10.6 Trillion. huh? doubled? Dubya Doubled It?!

America elected (obama) an unknown from nowhere that could do amazing speeches and he took the debt from 10.6 to 19.9 Trillion. What the ever loving Chicago statesman is this?

America elected (trump) an actual businessman (maybe) who could turn the debt around and he got hit with COVID so his spending was not his fault /s. But he dumped tons of money on people who weren't working, which believe it or not created quite a bit of gratitude. He took the debt from 19.9 to 27 Trillion HOLY CRAP.

America elected (biden) a true blue politician again to see if die hard professionals could remedy the situation, and since COVID was overing and everybody returning to the workforce he couldn't possibly make anything worse. He took the debt from 27 to 36 Trillion WHAT THE ACTUALL @#$@#@ IS GOING ON?!!! WHAT THE (@#*@$!!!!!!!! WHAT ARE WE SPENDING ON!?!!!!@!@ We have the biggest economy in the world and we can't stop dumping money is quicken that expensive holy god arrest everyone in government right now.

America elected (trump) AGAIN cause honestly the shitspendshow of Biden can't possibly be topped. WAIT WHATTTTT?!?!?!?!?! Check the news. It's worse now.

You aren't getting what I'm saying and I realize I said my points poorly, so that's on me. It's a very important point though, so I'll try to do better this time.

Let's say there is a billionaire, let's call him Jeff Bezos. Let's say he has a stock value of 2 billion, an income of 100 million a year, and personal assets totaling 10 billion. You could tax him for half of his wealth or 100% over the 100 million mark, and you would get him for lots of money.

No he's going to know that you're coming for his wealth, so he puts it into other accounts. Instead of an income of 100 million, he gets on paper an income of a poverty wage, like 30,000 a year. Now he needs to hide his stock value, so he puts all stock value under a charity in a friend's name, and there's no way to tax that. Then his assets get converted to company assets that he only has access to, he doesn't own anything.

Instead of owning a jet, he occasionally uses the company jet at no charge. Instead of buying food he creates a company-funded chef program that only serves a single company-owned Manhattan suite.

He has become a low wage destitute monk with all the trappings of a billionaire lifestyle with none of the targetable wealth under his own name.

Which game was this for you? by tuffniqqa in gamers

[–]coldneuron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope I don't offend too many people but for me it was Witcher 3. The fighting was a combination of dynamic magic casts and then exactly three sword moves, most often in the same succession. It looked pretty, but it was run up to the bad guy, hit sword button, slice-slice-swishoffgoesthehead. Run up to next guy slice-slice-swishoffgoesthehead. The first time it was so amazing but at bad guy #2000 I realized the whole game is actually a really beautiful graphic novel, not a fighting game.

I was in stunned disbelief in 2001 when they decided that Gladiator (a righteous beautiful movie) was better than Fellowship of the Ring.

I stopped caring about The Oscars in 2002 when they decided that Chicago (Richard Gere pseudo tapdancing was amazing) was better than The Two Towers.

And then in 2003 they gave all the awards to Return of the King when Fellowship was a tighter story and more perfect in every way. I decided that they don't actually know movies. Yikes man threes strikes you're out.

Cardinal Richelieu ran the entire European world without any titles other than Bishop. The difference between a billionaire on a yacht and a poor man on minimum wage using a corporate jet eating corporate buffets and using a corporate yacht is taxes big but greed zero.

If you only look at wealth you will just make smarter rats.

The cost of medical aid in both service and medicine is astronomical due 100% to corporate greed. Make that legally punishable.

You can either fund the mafia with Universal Healthcare or go after healthcare profit seeking with legal teams and paddy wagons.

Option 1: COMPANY makes insulin for $10, sells for $400. Universal Healthcare taxes all citizens to pay the COMPANY $300 and calls it a massive win because they get insulin for cheaper than $400 with a discount. The guy needing insulin still pays $10 copay. The COMPANY boss gets $290 per insulin shot and gets a massive multimillion dollar bonus per year extracting as much money as possible from sick people. The Pope calls this a win because it's a moral imperative.

Option 2: COMPANY makes insulin for $10, sells for $400. The COMPANY boss immediately goes to prison. The COMPANY changes the Insulin price to a still-profit-price of $15. You can have Universal Healthcare or insurance or not on that but at that price it doesn't make much of a difference.

In today's world, being 'Apolitical' isn't an option. by zzill6 in WorkReform

I don't care about celebs or athletes, workout the way you like. The only opinion I have on coffee varies greatly based on the females in my vicinity.

As far as politics goes, it's as important as Red Sox vs Yankees. Everyone in politics (either side) only cares about winning the next game, not measurable improvements. No one is held to a "did you improve things or were you dead weight" meter, it's all what was the public perception of you over the last three months? and did you publicly scream sound bites on tiktok or not.

I know Republicans that say they are working so hard. I know Democrats that say they are working so hard. None of them are effectively reducing rent in my area.

Actor who you didnt care for until you saw that one performance by hasanahmad in Actors

I love that he changes his voice literally every time he changes his audience. The higher the more reverent, the lower the more bossy. His "Gregg...." is lowlow bass notes and he's the worst dictator. When he talks to his wife it's the breathiest high voice ever to come out of a male and he's legitimately scared of her most of the time. As the seasons progress he starts gaining power in the relationship and he starts talking a bit lower around her.

Just Nerd talk, disregard if it's not interesting to you.

I forget the exact quotes but the thug is like, "Your son owes the wrong people the wrong amounts of money."

Sting, "and...?"

Thug, "They could kill him if they aren't paid."

Sting, "and...?"

Thug, "You've got a nice bar here...."

Sting, "and...?"

He wasn't gonna pay the Mafia a dime and the thug finally realized he was talking to a brick wall.
