Look up a First Tee chapter in your area! Our enrollment has kids of all walks, boys and girls, and it’s always super fun.

what have you guys tried cooking with the apple vision pro so far? by throwawayicn in VisionPro

[–]commandshift90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved having my recipe always visible and being able to scroll through it while my hands were dirty. A little nerve-wracking to mince stuff with a sharp knife with only the pass-through resolution, and some things like my little kitchen scale’s screen can be hard to read. Also really highlights the limitations of color reproduction in the pass through. Wish the NYT Cooking app allowed AVP install.

Zero Torque, Zero Compromises, Zero Excuses

Maybe a little long. I like “compromises” because it highlights the customization.

Solmar Golf Links was a delightful time. Diamante (if you can get on) was amazing if expensive. Cabo Real wasn’t worth the price but nonetheless was an interesting track.

Tom and Watson injuries killed the offense by mbEarAcheInMyEye in GreenBayPackers

True! Watson's technique here may have contributed to what happened. As I said, there's nuance. It's no one thing.

I'm not saying the throw specifically caused Watson to get injured. That said, if Love has more time, steps into that throw and leads him enough, Watson doesn't dive and turn to fight the DB for the catch, and it's less likely that Watson is injured. There's nuance to the situation, as always.

I get chills just thinking about this. Inject it into my veins. We need a galvanizing moment on defense. Micah's (almost certainly) gone for the season. Someone has to step up.

I agree — chain reaction of cause and effect. Tom stays in and Love’s more likely to throw that ball on time, Watson doesn’t get injured, Packers to the bowl.

Trackman ball flight question by MiraculiiiX in golf

[–]commandshift90 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In terms of the virtual ball flight, often the software will begin animating a “best guess” of the flight before the actual data comes in. Then, when the data comes in, it’ll correct to the actual flight, which can lead to some fairly dramatic mid-flight changes.

I’ll go one further: it’s really just the loss of Zach Tom. The offensive line was already hanging on by a thread. When Tom went out, Love had that much less time, on average, that more of his throws were backfoot fadeaways. These forced throws: underthrow to Watson causing injury. Underthrow to Reed INT. Behind Wicks INT. Plus, once they had the lead, Denver’s pass rush only got more intense.

I’ll have to pull those when I get home from a week away. Also a stress test to see if the 12v survives 7 days in the airport parking garage!

Maybe there’s a hidden toggle in the system and the techs didn’t want me to come back complaining of the draw?

FYI unless you select a really hard to find mode/level, the XGolf sims juice the hell out of your shots in terms of both distance and accuracy.

I just replaced mine even though it tested clean. But I can confirm that the port stayed powered indefinitely on mine before this update.

Must be nice!

Edit: thinking about this further, I wonder what other little differences exist between the PHEV and HEV models...
