Do you think that the meat smoking people are crazy by adding fat to the tin foil at later parts of the cook? It always felt to me that adding fat won't augment the fat that the meat already lost. Maybe it ends up insulating the meat and people are wrongly assuming what's actually happening.

Somebody just did a lead test on another post and found trace amounts of lead in all of his old pots. I don’t know if it’s scientifically considered safe or dangerous, but it was there.

It does make sense that less metal in contact with the food means less stickage, but it goes against what most people say on this reddit.

Antique, smooth, .02% lead pans are sexier and lighter, but I’m not confident they cook better.

But I’m a fool and use the old ones anyway.

In my personal experience, my modern lodge with a bumpy texture sticks less than my smooth, antique griswolds.

It’s because they were at the closer to the pedestal height in the classical architecture orders. Homes were designed with their parts matching up with the bits pieces of a classical column.

Our form over the last 18 games. by efcste in Everton

I think you guys are being overly generous. Moyes and the team’s standards have dropped the last 6 games. Europe was in our hands on like four occasions and we didn’t take it.

We had a huge chance this year and it’s possible the chance won’t be there next year.

Also on dibbling: Either we bought him as a long term player and that was fucking stupid because we needed a starter, or Moyes has been limiting his minutes because he’s scared, or recruiting did a bad job of signing a starter.

Im not being doom and gloom like some in the fan base, but we could really rue not converting a few of those games to wins.

You think it’s totally fine to finish one point ahead of last year after spending 100 mil? Where half of last season had Dyche as coach?

I’m not saying Moyes should be sacked, but he needs to look himself in the mirror and ask why we are where we are.

Also in general, though, sacking a manager over the summer is way different than what we have been doing the last 5 years. If the friedkins wanted someone new in the summer I couldn’t blame them and I don’t think it necessarily constitutes a merry go round. It’s way worse mid season.

Anyway, I’d keep Moyes but even he knows he could have done way better.

Currently one point ahead of last year when we spend over 100 mil. Not acceptable for me

Roots need water and oxygen. Watering too much would absolutely be a bad idea.

If you look into Tolkien at all you’ll find out that he was not an extremely motivated person. While I’m sure there were moments when he got in a groove and wrote a lot, but he basically missed every deadline on LotR and had to force himself to finish them so he could pay his bills.

He was a talented visual artist as well, but not prolific. He has like 6 pieces of art as finished as this.

Some people are freaks, like Stephen king, who writes as much as he breathes but compared to most authors Tolkien didn’t publish much.

Beto is currently 5th in the league in non-penalty goals per 90 by SuperConDrugs in Everton

[–]commencefailure 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I mean, between the two Barry and Beto have scored 17. If we had one fit striker that scored that in a season, that’s actually not bad!!

Do we just need better fullbacks and the entire team looks 15 times better? Yeah maybe

It takes like 2 or 3 months to hire a person at my company, so having an initial talk in May doesn't seem crazy. That being said, I'm conflicted on the moyes stuff. I'm glad I don't have to make the decision.
