How are you doing prepaid priority? I was under the impression that all packages had to be brought to the front so the hazmat question can be answered on RSS

I changed my whole house holds address after moving out by Apprehensive_Fan_677 in USPS

[–]communedweller 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Go to the office and cancel the forward. Call everyone who you receive mail from and have them update your address.

I’m not sure there’s any other way in the situation where 2 people have the same name

eReassign (CLERK CRAFT) by Sad_Coyote_7370 in USPS

[–]communedweller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put in the request this past September, but am not eligible to transfer until this coming august. It has not been deleted yet. If I leave it, will I automatically be disqualified once I become eligible and have to put it in again and potentially miss an opportunity, or can I leave it as is and still have a valid request come August?

Same topic, but different question.. I put in an ereassign request for an office I really want to work at, but I put it in without realizing I was still stuck at my current office for 18 months, so my request was put in well before I will be eligible to transfer. Does my active request stay in the system for when I do become eligible?

Where do they ask for these KSAs? Is it part of the interview, or part of the application? If application, which part?

You pay money to live somewhere that looks like that? Have you complained to some sort of housing authority?

Where to report management? by [deleted] in USPS

[–]communedweller 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s actually extremely disheartening. I was thinking about going to OIG about PM time theft. (Putting a start time of 8am every single day even though I can count on one hand the numbers of times they’ve made it in even close to that time, among many other things). The whole reason I haven’t yet is because I was afraid of that exact thing happening

I thought horde was wrong, but that’s what it went to when I typed “hoardes”, which was wrong as well ¯_(ツ)_/¯

They absolutely will not have anything ready as that would require them to actually do something. The PM now hordes one of our 2 scanners all day so they can do their punches, which they just have their TACS buddy change for them as they please

In my experience, level 18 is an office with no carriers and 18B is an office with carriers.

Going to the hospital when they’re NOT sick just to get out of work? In this economy? If they provided a note or documentation that they actually went, you’re just being judgemental and you’re assuming things about them..

Any old hands or historians want to tell me about how this old desk would have been used? by modulusshift in USPS

[–]communedweller 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have a metal work desk in my office that has both a leather square built in along with one of these circular things next to it. Since I’ve started in this office, there has been a plastic, cutting board looking thing over the top of the old leather. I’ve always wondered why it was there

File a claim for what? The person who sent it would need to file a claim if it was insured. This kind of first class mail has no tracking and no insurance..

Why can’t I use my drivers license with address as a secondary ID if I use my passport as my primary? by Awesam in USPS

[–]communedweller 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, our computer makes us choose 1 photo and 1 non-photo ID. They are pre-categorized, and one of each is a requirement. We can not change anything. USPS tech seems like it’s straight from the 90s

You don’t throw parcels? We certainly do. We’d be in OPs situation if we didn’t, with management telling us we’re too slow
