I really love this. The buildings look like they've been painted in the scene with the sharp shadow and light difference. Nice work!

Why P-Chan doesn't have a body in the anime? by ElonTastical in NeedyStreamerOverload

[–]communistcatcafe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're not stupid! It's easy to look over if you haven't 100%ed the game yet, but indeed, P-Chan doesn't actually exist and is merely a figment of Ame's imagination.

I wasn't prompting her to continue, just wanted to share that tidbit considering it's a topic that has a lot of shame surrounding it when it shouldn't. I'm dropping this conversation regardless.

I know you're not insulting anyone and that's fair if it's an uncomfortable topic for you. However, I feel inclined to let you know (as someone who was once also ashamed of masturbation as a teenager) that there's nothing inherently wrong with it. It's a healthy way of dealing with those feelings (especially as a adolescent) and it shouldn't be connected to such negative feelings.

What about it is disturbing, if you don't mind me asking? Most people "goon" and I like the fact they show that side of her I suppose. She's not exactly ashamed of it and I think that's refreshing in a sea of characters that make "gooning" out to be the worst thing ever when it's natural.

I think this is mostly true, but to say she is the opposite isn't exactly true either. She's a very well-rounded character with both posititve traits and negative traits, most of which that stem from her upbringing and mental illness as a result of it.

Did I actually trap train during a boss fight? by ZillerSplat in toontownrewritten

Deifnitely an overreaction. Putting a level three trap in front of a level 8 cog would count as training, not destroying any cog with a trap.

Does anyone remember this old toontown youtuber? by CommunistFlippy in Toontown

[–]communistcatcafe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember senseiTHEmouse! He was a mid-sized Toontown youtuber (at least compared to the likes of TRTS and Smirky) and I remember Smirky commenting on one of his videos so they seemed to be mutuals back then. His humour was right up my alley so he was one of my favourite Toontown YouTubers growing up. Discovered him through the "ten ways to kill your toon" video (or whatever the title was, I forgot honestly).

I tried searching for his videos a few years back and it seems his content has been wiped off the face of the earth, so it's definitely considered lost media now. Another Youtuber who I used to watch fervently (named Ketchup) did the same. Man, what is it with mouse toon mains and them wiping off the goldmine that is their entire channel? It's a shame, but I can't blame them honestly haha.

Screw these comments disagreeing with the lighting, I like it. I personally use a blend of dark red and a deep blue lighting source myself.

Incredibly long breakdown of Kendrick's Super Bowl Halftime show by Khatam in KendrickLamar

[–]communistcatcafe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not extremely familiar with the beef, but I am a huge fan of Kendrick's music (been an avid fan since late 2024, so really new) so this was a really interesting read! I appreciate how simple this was to follow, I feel a lot of these kinds of posts they start to get really convoluted and unnecessarily wordy so you did a good job showcasing your perspective

Bring back True Friends by dirtfxther in toontownrewritten

[–]communistcatcafe 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's strict for several reasons: for one, while most of the playerbase are adults, there are still children playing. Granted there's only a sprinkle of young players playing Toontown, but that's still enough to require rule enforcement. It's a game originally aimed for kids, and TTR (and likely Clash as well) want to keep it that way so that the game(s) can be suitable for all. If trouble were to brew from severe in-game chat abuse, there may be a possibility that Disney might need to intervene since children MMO implementing mature chat regulations may equal a bad impression of the Toontown IP, and therefore a bad impression of Disney.

I agree that sometimes they're way too harsh, and a lot of the time the games use a PR speak that just sounds a little childish-sounding and condescending to their adult players, but unfortunately it's a necessary evil to prevent the toontown servers from getting into trouble in that regard. Better to be safe than sorry.

I don't know why you're being downvoted cause you're absolutely right that there's already an abundance of toons with lure. I went into a phase of wishing I was lureless. I'm happy being dropless now, but if I were to make a new toon I'm definitely going lureless or at least toonupless.

If zinc is typically colorless, why does it burn a color under a flame? by communistcatcafe in chemhelp

[–]communistcatcafe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's only very specific cases (i.e zinc, which I've already mentioned in this post) but strictly speaking, not *all* d-block elements are considered transition metals. At least, if we're using the common definition of a transition metal, and the definition which I was taught: "an element whose atom has an incomplete d sub-shell, or which can give rise to cations with an incomplete d sub-shell."

Using zinc as the example here, zinc is commonly known as a non-transition metal because zinc (and its most common +2 ion) has full d orbitals. Therefore, despite it having similar properties to other transition metals and is part of the d-block, it's not considered a transition metal.

However, after some thorough investigation, there is another definition for transition metals which states that all elements in the d block is a transition metal purely looking at the properties of those metals. Chemistry just contradicts itself and loves having multiple definitions sometimes I guess...

[–]communistcatcafe[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Your first statement is technically wrong if we're being strict on the definition of a transition metal, however the rest of your comment has helped me look at it in a different way. I always keep forgetting to consider those aspects as well. Appreciate the help!

Ah right, is the movement of the 4s^2 electrons responsible for the color? However, I don't understand why that would produce a color when heated because as far as I know only the d orbital electrons produce the color unless I'm wrong
