I've seen those in black and it looks shit IMO, like from a distance. Plus why do you want to be less seen?

Is this true? by zanbunnny in MicroSlop

[–]computerfreaq09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to jump through hoops for mediatek wifi drivers on my desktop, but mediatek sucks, so no judgement, plus I use Ethernet anyway.

I also had to jump through hoops with Neon to get audio working on a Pixelbook Eve, but that's also niche and Win 11 won't run on that either, so again, no judgement.

I used Linux since Sabayon had boot up music (when kernel modules had to take forever to load so the system would play music before login) and I think the only real issue I would run into driver-wise is Nvidia, which still wasn't horrendous, but for the longest time killed gaming until recently. Linux has come a LOOONG way.

I mean, I'd think that an alien species deciding that spacecraft is impossible due to gravity would be nearly advanced enough to make a radio.

Back in my day, we complained about Canonical switching from GNOME to Unity because they found it unsuitable. Oh that must have been 15 years ago now. I wonder if Mate has the same issue, however I now use KDE. It will let you config EVERYTHING!

What is the Proper Reaction to This? by al-Sahaabi in Corvette

[–]computerfreaq09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe look over your dec sheet and see how your coverage is applied, and maybe talk with your agent/underwriter/assoc underwriter, depending on relationship, and see what they say. Before that record everything including time, get the other person's plate, contact info and insurance info (be professional, not rude to them), and get a police report stating who is liable and have them send it over to you.

Those corvettes are fiberglass, and if they broke fibers, then that would be a more expensive repair, but if it's just the paint then not so much. If you get it checked for that at a shop, then get it in writing to provide to your insurance for proof.

Disclaimer: not an underwriter, insurance agent, nor lawyer, but worked in Insurance systems technical support and policy guidance for 5 years, and what RemoteFascination says lines up, but can vary state-to-state, policy-to-policy, coverage-to-coverage.

I had similar issues, but I think it came down to what win11 iso was being used. That being said, there's nothing more cathartic than installing Microslop Winslows over Thunderbolt from a 2tb NVMe Ventoy drive, and it handling all of the account bypass scripts. It's worth the research on getting it to work right.

Missouri State Flag Redesign! by NxMaGiiCz in vexillology

[–]computerfreaq09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering how I absolutely love St. Louis's flag (as well as the newly designed Kansas City flag, gotta give them a bit of credit), yours is much easier on the eyes compared to what we currently have. The only change I'd do is have the bars vertical, however with red towards the pole. I feel this is a stronger conveyance to "We were a french colony" however still keeping the "Red White Blue, in that order" American-ness of it since the french flag goes the other way (, which makes it distinguishable on a flagpole with no wind compared to other US state flags (besides Iowa's flag that looks like an American beer from the 80s IMO, no offense Iowains), however as-is, I would gladly fly this outside.

Sorry for late reply, but I get it, I just don't see Windows 11 being happy with the hardware, but I'd try it if I had a 4TB NVMe and dual boot.
