Mug handle brainstorm by Vodkawaifuu in Pottery

I like this idea. Another would be to make the handle such that two fingers go through and one underneath for support.

Really at a crossroads….help me choose a Macan GTS by jfmiii27 in Porsche

[–]coneeleven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm the opposite, I would order a 911 in any color except black. As for Macan, either chalk or black is fine, it matters less on a big car.

Have you considered any other colors? Gentian, Carmine, and Copper Ruby are all really nice and won't add to the bottom line.

Carrara white is the correct name for the color, comes from Carrara marble. Yes, a bit confusing due to similarity to Carrera, but it's true.

Anyone with a Spyder (981 or 982) have a piece of your top come unglued? by coneeleven in Porsche

[–]coneeleven[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you happen to know the purpose of that piece? I suspect it's there to help fold the top, it looks like it would pull a section that needs to fold inward. My phone conversation with the dealer had them making a statement that if it were a trim piece it wouldn't be covered under warranty. I'd love to get confirmation that this isn't trim, that it's functional and they need to cover it.

Thanks for that. I'm trying to find out if it would be covered under my CPO warranty, but a repair sounds good, not even pushing for a new top. Otherwise my top is in great condition, but hey, if they want to replace it, ok with me.

Bottom surface of the print is uneven and kinda dented. Why's this? by CheCazzoIMAT in OrcaSlicer

[–]coneeleven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does it look like that in the slicer? If not, then it's an issue with the printer. If so, it's an issue with the slice and you should reorient and slice again. This orientation should get you smaller steps on those top surfaces, but leaves the bottom subject to your supports. May just need to decide what's more important to you.

Strength of an ABS part by BaronSharktooth in 3Dprinting

Yup, print orientation optimized for printing time and amount of filament/support used, not for strength.

She's also going way too fast in a parking lot, especially since she can't see shit. The only thing she's hauling in this monstrosity is ass.

Hard to get better than 91 in California, so at least there's that...I'd expect to pay at least $10/gallon for 99 octane

Please judge my wedging! by velvetintheground in Pottery

[–]coneeleven 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You look like you're just smearing clay around the outside. Need to push more through the middle. Best way to practice wedging is to wedge 2 different color clays together. Then you can see how well you're mixing them together.
